Barack Obama, International Man of Prodigy
Hopeful presidential hopeful Barack Obama gave a rare glimpse into the VP selection process he hopes to have this summer…
Last night at a fundraiser in San Francisco, Barack Obama took a question on what he's looking for in a running mate. "I would like somebody who knows about a bunch of stuff that I'm not as expert on," he said.
Stuff, eh? A bunch of stuff? I wonder what he might be referring to there. Quilting? Tarot cards? Bowling? Foreign policy?
"[F]oreign policy is the area where I am probably most confident that I know more and understand the world better than Senator Clinton or Senator McCain."
Oh, well, that makes sense. Obama served seven whole years in the Illinois legislature, and there are a lot of Polish people in Chicago. Or maybe — maybe! — he's just trying to question Hillary Clinton's credibility…
"When Senator Clinton brags 'I've met leaders from eighty countries' — I know what those trips are like! I've been on them. You go from the airport to the embassy. There's a group of children who do native dance. You meet with the CIA station chief and the embassy and they give you a briefing. You go take a tour of a plant that [with] the assistance of USAID has started something. And then — you go.
You do that in eighty countries — you don't know those eighty countries. So when I speak about having lived in Indonesia for four years, having family that is impoverished in small villages in Africa — knowing the leaders is not important — what I know is the people."
In other words, when six-year-old Barack Obama was living in Indonesia, he wasn't just sitting around learning how to tie his shoelaces. No, he was walking among the people, absorbing foreign policy lessons that he could refer to later, in his campaign to become a world leader.
Not that world leaders are important.

Each tarot card has a meaning, a certain appearance, and a symbolized interpretation. It also has correspondences to a certain path, trump, Hebrew letter, and Zodiac element planet, as well as deities, animals, and plants.
I don't know how you live, but if even-keeled and down to earth "scares the hell" out of you, you're probably a disgruntled Floridian who thinks the electoral process should be tailored to allow premature ejacu- I mean representation.
1.7 million Florida Democrats voted on January 29th, 2008 and we need to get our delegates seated based on
the outcome of our votes.
We have set up a petition and our goal is to get 1.5 million
signatures. Please go to this web site:
http://www.fldeservesrecognition.com to see who we are and help us by signing our petition.
Required petition fields are just name, signature, city and state.
(Note: You do NOT have to be a Florida resident to sign.)
Thanks!
Where to begin!? This man scares the hell out of me, I haven't found one reason why I would even cast a vote for him. Yes, Senator Clinton DOES have REAL foreign policy experience, listen to other heads of state, they say it plain and simple, the Clinton's are Champions, despited the BS they went through in the 90's, Hillary Clinton, instead of going underground and hiding, as most would do, no, she went on to fight for a NY senate seat, mind you, every one thought she was CRAZY and could never win, she DID win, why, because she is a Champion; on Healthcare, on Education, on Foreign Policy. Now, our Country is in a very unpopular war, we have Senator Clinton who is respected World-wide; we have Senator Obama, Um, what has he done again? Oh yeah, he did claim to have "voted against the war while Senator Clinton voted for it"; only problem there is, He was NOT even a US Senator in 2002! Therefor he did not HAVE A VOTE! Sort of screws his entire policy to me. Challenge that one anyone please! Even I believed Colin Powell when he testified before the UN, THAT is what was voted on, NOT Occupying Iraq!
If you listen to one person listen to General Wesley Clark, he supports Senator Clinton ONLY! He says she IS the only candidate with a "Responsible" plan for withdrawal, the ONLY candidate!
Let's stop the woman bashing, she may not be an Angel, but she IS a Champion, Period!

Actually he really does know foreign policy.
Check out the article he wrote in Foreign Affairs magazine back in July. This guy really "gets it".
