Hillary Clinton Said "Screw 'Em" Once, Nation Prepares to Freak the Eff Out
In his book, "The Truth of Power: Intellectual Affairs in the Clinton White House" author Benjamin Barber claims that he witnessed Hillary Clinton saying something that runs in counter-distinction to her current hard-drinkin', quick-shootin', blue-collar-lovin' persona…
In January 1995, as the Clintons were licking their wounds from the 1994 congressional elections, a debate emerged at a retreat at Camp David. Should the administration make overtures to working class white southerners who had all but forsaken the Democratic Party? The then-first lady took a less than inclusive approach.
"Screw 'em," she told her husband. "You don't owe them a thing, Bill. They're doing nothing for you; you don't have to do anything for them."
First of all, this anecdote comes from a book, so it's probably not true.
Second of all, it's been taken completely out of context. By "screw 'em," she probably meant "make love to 'em." Or "insert or fasten through the act of turning 'em."
Third of all, she wasn't talking about white people. She was talking about southern white people. And everybody knows they can go screw themselves.
Except for the ones in Florida.

Most likely this claim is a load of unsubstantiated crap, just like the claim that Clinton also disavowed her anti-NAFTA statements to Canada as did Obama. Let us get our facts straight here… This is not a direct quote. The book in question was written in 2001, six years after the comments were supposedly made, and in a book intended to portray the Clintons as intellectual snobs. How can you pretend to trust such a source? Find a recording, find something in her own handwriting, find a single source that also claimed to have heard the statement, and find one who mentioned it way back in 1995 when it was supposedly said. Otherwise this is just another desperate rumor by Obama supporters, which will most likely turn out to be wholly false and will, if anything, prove that Hillary Clinton has been a victim of media bias. Anyways, it doesn't help Obama at all to make this comparison, in fact it is as if the Obama supporters were claimining, "Hey, our candidate may be an out-of-touch elitist, but so is she." Is that really the message that they want to put out there?
Wasn't it Clinton's Carville who called small-town PA "Alabama in the middle"? Sounds like "southern white people" to me.
Hope you guys make as big of a fuss about this as they did to Obama for saying that people are bitter at politicians, have no faith in them to actually fix the economic/healthcare/education issues, so they vote on values issues instead.
Hillary needs to confirm or deny these statements.
Confirm or deny.
If she didn't say them, then the Pennsylvania will have no additional reason to think she is a two-faced lying politician.
Confirm or deny.
Well, IF she did say it, good for her! I hope all the southerners are sitting in the Bushes with the shit all over their asses!!
