Hillary Clinton and John Edwards Share a Private Moment at The Colbert Report

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

According to CBS News (SPOILER WARNING), the Senator Clinton and former Democratic candidate John Edwards bumped into each other at tonight's taping of The Colbert Report:

Hillary Clinton bumped into former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards today at the taping of Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report.” The brief meeting took place backstage where the two spoke in private. This is the first time the two have met since Clinton made a secret visit to Edwards’ home in North Carolina back in early February. Edwards has yet to publicly back any candidate, but with the North Carolina primary around the corner, it is a coveted endorsement.

We're not sure yet if John Edwards will use his time on the show tonight to make an actual endorsement or not, but the article goes on to give odds on Obama gaining the Edwards Bump

  1. Well, you might have thought he was putz. I thought he was funnier and more natural than Hillary (as usual). And oh yeah – he's also going to be the nominee, so you better get used to it.

  2. edwards will probably stay out of it. elizabeth edwards seems to be pushing hillary's policies. it will be interesting to see if he does endorse before the convention. probably won't as he seems to enjoy being the most important white man endorsement (VERY funny piece for him tonight).

  3. Stephen – how 'bout you publish Obama's e-mails to his supporters – they are extremely negative – every e-mail he's badmouthing hillary. It turned me off. He lost my vote.

  4. WOW, what's up with those first two retards that posted… Anyone with a half a brain and the ability to read the news knows:

Hillary and Bill Clinton are filthy rotten LIARS…

Proof that the Clintons are Liars

    they promised to FIGHT for
    Universal Healthcare. They
won the White House, but lost
the drive to motivate an industry
    behave in a responsible manner.

RESULT – No Healthcare by the end of the first term.

    * 1996 Presidential Run-Up to the White House

The Clintons Promise that they would
FINISH what they had started!!! They
    would deliver Universal Healthcare
    to the people.

We trusted them with our lives!!!

Hillary met in secret and worked out
a deal to keep quiet. In other words, she
took the lobbyist money. Now we have a
country the has been told over and over
    that they don't deserve healthcare.

Fool me once, shame on her – Fool me twice, shame on us… Please don't let those dirty lobbyist pigs fool our country, again!!! Please… convince your mother, father, grandparents that the Clintons are selfish evil and healthcareless.

To make matters worse – after passing the Welfare Reform Bill in 1996, just after being re-elected – Bill signed off on legislation that crippled Medicare, in 1998.

The above is why John Edwards will be backing Barak Obama.

The above is also reason enough for me to think that the Daily Show's display of Hillary bias is comprable to that of the ABC Debate.

Very sneaky and sleeze-ballish of you John and Steve… way to go, having Obama on at midnight, when most people have gone to bed.

  6. hummmm….

Does Hillary have any Brothers? I wonder where they are….. she's framing herself as the only child…. I wonder why….. oh brothers oh brothers… where art thou brothers??????

  7. Yup, The Clintons are worse than liars because sometimes they just lie for obvious reasons but other times they do more than lie, such as when she intentionally distorts what she knows to be true in order to create an impression intended to manage public perception in such a way as to destroy her opponent.

That kind of drama is worthy of Iago. And I perceive that the driving motivations are very similar.

What I cannot figure out is why anyone could think they would want such a person for a president. We would have to listen to her for years. Always knowing we were getting image management and never candor. Watching the Clintons run around the Planet piling up more money than they'll ever have time to spend.

    Yuk.

  10. YIKES… The stupid people are awakening to the nightmare that continues to haunt them. It's Hillary telling them tales of a black man that looks down on them.

Frikking bone-heads don't know what is truth. The truth is, she will do everything to make PA an even worse poverty stricken hell pit, than ever. She will pony-up to the Lobbyist from the highest bidding corporation and/or country and coordinate another mass shipping of USA jobs.

Then they'll say, 'I dunno why, but I haven't been on a vacation in 35 years?'
