Jon Stewart – All Your Out-of-Context Remarks Are Belong To Me
Man, how about that Democratic debate in Philly, huh? Talk about setting a new bar for journalistic integrity: asking actual policy questions more than an hour after the start time. Bravo, ABC. Here's Jon's take:
How did the debate strike your fancy? How'd Barack and Hillary come out lookin'?
Watch parts 2 and 3 after the jump.

'do you believe in the american flag?'
thats a question you ask a classroom of 3rd graders for their 1 page essay on american politics
whats he gonna say? NO!!! FUCK AMERICA!! Vote for me….
why go through so much trouble to ask a question you knew the answer to when this whole 'flagpin' nonsense was over MONTHS AGO?!
I guess some people are inept to the fact that the guy on ABC is a hugh suporter of Hillary Clinton. I mean think about it she seemed way to cool about the questions and didnt even look at the guy when being asked as if to glee because she already knew what question was going to come up. Think about it people she was way to cool on that night like she knew the questions before-hand. They gave her one question about her sniper fire crap just to see if they could get Obama to start attacking. The Clinton camp knows that its hurting her to attack as she is now trying to go on the "Violet" campaign as msnbc, cnn, and others have said. She's telling her supporters to go door to door and tell people that "She's not all that bad."
People just wake up and smell the coffe.
Obama did studder alot with the questions for one reason I think, it was because he had to be carfull what he said and had to make sure he didnt say something that could be taken out of context.
Does the promotion of stupid questions mean that the US public care more about them? Or that ABC wishes they were John Stewart? Either way it seems like the candidate that wins, is the candidate that is best at media management. Which I guess is pretty good practice for office too.
i'm not into flag pins, and thought the question annoying. but here is a profile of the woman who asked the question…everyone deserves compassion…

John, I totally agree with you! In my view, accepting only public financing would put him in the best possible light. He would actually BE the candidate who is not beholden to lobbyists OR to your good-old-fashioned rich people with an agenda. No insinuations available to the other side. To me, it doesn't matter what your average donations are because if McCain (in a gen. elect.) decided to go with public financing anyway, you better believe the Republican machine would try to use it to discredit Obama. Better troubleshoot ahead of time and suggest to those who would have donated more to give it to charity instead. Just my opinion.
I like the questions, though I don't agree with your suggestion in question 3. With average donations of 100 dollars, he is publicly financed in the best possible way. I am one of those donors. My wife and I gave the local, Wilmington, NC Campaign $55.00 for buttons and lawn signs. I hope Obama does not deprive me of the opportunity to spend another small donation of mine against McCain.
Obama promised to talk to the Republican nominee about public financing. But McCain has already broken the rules once. Should Obama allow McCain an advantage by giving him a chance to cheat a second time?
I'm unable to submit a question to Barack on the submit-a-question-to-Barack page. I get a message complaining that I need to re-enter the security code. I've tried entering variations of the code about 10 times. I think it's supposed to be ewuk. Anyway, since there appears to be a bug there, can you please ask the following questions to Barack?
Ethics and Political Reform
Your platform and Hillary's are fairly similar, and implementation of either platform would certainly help to fix America. But for a long-term fix, we need a change in how politics is done. Specifically:
1. How will you eliminate lobbyists' ability to inappropriately wield power over policy decisions?
2. How will you level the playing field so that money and connectedness aren't requirements for getting elected? Would you be willing to work towards requiring all candidates to use public financing and nothing else?
3. Can you please confirm your pledge for public financing in the general election ASAP? That would set you apart from Hillary even more in terms of ethics and reform. And in the fall, even though public financing would mean less money for you, you'll have a big advantage over McCain in terms of your message and the energy of your supporters. Finally: I know you believe in public financing. Listen to your heart.
