We do check our facts. More importantly, we check YOUR facts. 100 million Americans? Have you bothered to see where the McCain camp came up with this number?

I'm tired of conservatives who want to site 28 year old information and claim it's just as pertinent now.
Stock is traded in much larger numbers now, with the global economy and internet trading being much more prominent. It has a much higher chance of working in todays economy than it did in 1980.
Most of these "100 million Americans" won't (or at least shouldn't) be selling assets at a high enough rate to be even marginally affected.

If 100 million Americans are 2% of the US population, that would mean there are 5 billion Americans. Still ludicrous since the world's population is somewhere around 6.7 billion, but…wait, does he think that everyone not in China, Iran and North Korea is American?
