Barack Obama Selling Israel Out to the Terrorists Watch: Day 1207

POSTED BY: CubbyChaser

On the eve of Israel's 60th anniversary, it's no small wonder that Terrorist Party nominee Barack Obama (TP – Explodistan) is shooting his mouth off pledging to negotiate with hostile leaders like Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad when he's president. Which is why President Bush ambled into the Knesset today to answer the one question on everyone's mind: where have we heard this foolish diversion before?

"We have heard this foolish delusion before," Bush said in remarks to the Israeli Knesset. "As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American Senator declared: 'Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

Hm. While I agree President Barack Hitler Obama couldn't be trusted to defend Poland, there are some geeks who would argue that by invoking Hitler means the Republicans are effectively forfeiting this otherwise bulletproof argument. So, surely John McCain will straight-talk things back down to earth.

"Yes, there have been appeasers in the past, and the president is exactly right, and one of them is Neville Chamberlain," Mr. McCain told reporters on his campaign bus after a speech in Columbus, Ohio. "I believe that it's not an accident that our hostages came home from Iran when President Reagan was president of the United States. He didn't sit down in a negotiation with the religious extremists in Iran, he made it very clear that those hostages were coming home."

Not quite the cool down I was looking for, I guess, but fair point all around. They didn't call Reagan Ol' Never Negotiate with Iran for nothing.

  1. That's the second time I've seen McCain say that bullshit regarding the release of the hostages. Will someone please remind him of the 1981 Algiers Accords brokered under the Carter Administration.

  2. bearness — I know what you mean. I'd love for this to be the year that someone throws some light on the idiocy of the Reagan/Bush years. Especially now that America is paying such a high price for the foolishness of those administrations.

  3. Spring Time For Hitler! Are you fucking shitting me? Hitler and comdey make for a tough sell. We've got, The Producers and ummm… this! That's all I can think of that works.

I also like how Bush one-timed it to McFuckngNoBrain for the Barack Housein Hitler Mussolini Obama reference on the Old As Grandma's Scaly Pubic Hair Express.

This asshole doesn't even know what the word appesment is. Failed Appeasment is actually doing something quid pro quo like back in Munich 1938 as mentioned by the poster down low.. Diplomacy is —Diplomacy!

To defend Bush, it always makes one feel warm and fuzzy to talk about Hitler durning the 60th anniversary of Israel. In Israel. He should haved danced a jig at the end of his speech, exited stage left, and danced a jig as he left to complete the act. I predict next year's newest baby name will be Adolph after the "best speech ever" (next to Clinton's in WV).

  4. If McCain wants to talk about WW2 and use it to credit himself, then he should acknowledge the alliance with Russia. Yes McCain is a closet communist who conspired with the Russians to beat Hitler… yeh to historiography, the new rage !

  5. Ergot, the logic. McCain (the closet commie) defeated Hitler. He fought in WWII anyways. Ahmadinejad is the new Hitler. Obama talks to the "new" Hitler, ad this gives rise to Senator Obama's new name: Barack Houssein Hitler Ahmadinejad Neville Chamberlain Obama. Making McCain the "new" FDR.

  10. Calm down people, why would they want to negotiate now? How long has this war been going on? And how many casualties are there? How many times have the lied to us about this war? Get a grip. It's almost Friday. I really just want to know which one of them is going to get me drunk.
