POSTED BY: TheInDecider

President Bush's speech to the Israeli Knesset yesterday giving one shout out each to Barack Obama and Adolf Hitler planted a single question in every American's mind: who, exactly, are these two men and why are they so much alike?

We hope this chart will sort it out.

  1. I read posts from these Clinton supporters, I can't help but picture a bratty little kid, holding it's breath and stamping it's feet.

Says something about Hillary, the people she draws to her campaign would rather see America suffer 4 more years of republican rule than see their candidate lose.

Doesn't matter I suppose, any person who votes republican after the last 8 years was never a democrat anyway.

  2. It's no more childish than Edwards endorsing when he did, and the way he did it.

  3. hilo08 – I have to agree. When Edwards ran out on that Michigan stage and did his little "nanny nanny boo boo" speech and then proceeded to call Hillary a doody-head…

  4. The real insult came when he mooned the Hillary fans. That won lots of votes.

  5. Who Barack really looks like is Fred Astaire ~ all ears, thinness & legs. Also, both can tap dance beautifully.

  6. I think the comparison is a lot stronger then you would think… Adolf Hitler rose to power because of his persuasive speeches to young voters, he is a strong socialist/ communist believer, anti-capitalist, and everyone liked him because he promised “CHANGE.”

  7. Both: Followed a national economic crisis, run on a platform of "Change", promise to help the poor working guy and punish the rich , try to register or outlaw guns,
favor dermination of the unwanted/undesireable(Abortion in one case),have friends that are terorists and others that give speaches of hate and finally both have/had lots of fanatic followers that have big ralies and are trying illegal ballot stuffings or intimnations (Acrorn and Brown shirts).

  9. "It's not enough for just some of us to prosper. For alongside our famous individualism, there's another ingredient in the American saga, a belief that we are all connected as one people." [Obama]

"It is thus necessary that the individual should come to realize that his own ego is of no importance in comparison with the existence of his nation; that the position of the individual ego is conditioned solely by the interests of the nation as a whole … that above all the unity of a nation's spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual. …. This state of mind, which subordinates the interests of the ego to the conservation of the community, is really the first premise for every truly human culture …. we understand only the individual's capacity to make sacrifices for the community, for his fellow man." [Adolph Hitler, 1933]

“…our individual salvation depends on collective salvation. Because thinking only about yourself, fulfilling your immediate wants and needs, betrays a poverty of ambition.” [Obama]

“Our nation can achieve permanent health only from within on the basis of the principle: The common interest before self-interest.” [Hitler]

The nation was in shambles. A previous ruler had led the country into an unnecessary war, the economy was failing, and a sense of depression filled the air. Then, a new leader emerged. He was a powerful speaker, offering hope, change, and a fix to the economy. He wrote two books about his experiences and used his literary work to propel him to success. He was an open Christian with some Muslim friends. He called for unity and considered himself an advocate of peace. Some of his political opponents cast him as naive and inexperienced. He also had a lot of radical ties, but the media, and ultimately the voters, were willing to overlook that.

    Who is he?

    The answer is Hitler.
