Barack Obama Disgusts John McCain by Heeding John McCain's Advice on Iraq
Remember back in May when John McCain called upon Barack Obama to visit Iraq and get a first-hand look at the situation there? Well, Barack Obama remembers, and he has announced plans to visit the success-torn country sometime before the November election.
Naturally, the McCain campaign is shocked and dismayed that Obama would do such a thing. A thing they urged him to do. The nerve!
"I guess the question is, if indeed [Obama's] gonna to go to Iraq, and nothing that he sees will change or impact his decision-making on this, then why is he going?" McCain spokesperson Brian Rogers asked on a conference call with reporters just now.
"Is it just to check a box politically?" Rogers continued. "It sort of represents the kind of cynical politics that most people here, that the American people are pretty sick and tired of."
As an American person, I gotta say, he's absolutely correct. I am sick and tired of people doing the things I tell them to do. It happens all the time, and it's driving me nuts.
Just yesterday I asked my neighbor to give me the cash in his wallet and he handed over $83. Then I asked the guy at the store to give me my groceries for free, and he did.
I'd tell them to knock it off, but I know they'd go right ahead and knock it off. I just can't win.
