World Hunger Forum Proves to be Dining Event of the Year
Man, those people who are trying to end end world hunger sure know how to eat…
[U.K.] Prime Minister [Gordon ] and other world leaders [including George Bush] sat down to an 18-course gastronomic extravaganza at a G8 summit in Japan, which is focusing on the food crisis.
The dinner, and a six-course lunch, at the summit of leading industrialised nations on the island of Hokkaido, included delicacies such as caviar, milkfed lamb, sea urchin and tuna, with champagne and wines flown in from Europe and the U.S.
Totally uncool, world leaders!
The starving people of the world are already having such a difficult time securing even a meager supply of caviar, truffle soup and almond oil foam. This is just rubbing it in their faces.
