John Oliver reports on the Congressional hearings (or as they will come to be called, the Immaculate Deception) to determine if Justice Department officials under the Bush administration abused their power. He hopes everyone appreciates how lucky we are to witness this low point in American democracy.

I believe that we used to have the power to decide. I think the Bush admin has taken that away and lied about it. Truly they have to be the best liars because no one has hijacked the American public so successfully in the so called INFORMATION age. They have sustained a level of fear for 8 yrs that has believing that 3.89/gallon is a bargain for gasoline. HELLO PEOPLE!! Other governments have been through this but they put a stop to it by capping the fuel price until the economy got better. But that would mean that Bush and his pals would lose money and we can't have that.
Not euthanized, not quarantined, but declare a bounty on right wing nuts. Fascinating concept, the gun nuts earn extra cash by eliminating their own kind. Aproblem that solves itself

One can only hope… because if this happens again, America should be quarantined for voter incompetence.
