Third Party Thirdsplosion: Indecision 2008 Interviews the Green Party's Rosa Clemente

Many believe that third parties are an irrelevant drain on the political system. Still others believe they play a vital role in our democracy, in that they allow blogs like ours to interview their vice-presidential nominees.
A few weeks ago, we submitted a list of questions for Rosa Clemente, the Green Party's nominee for vice president of the United States. This week, she handed our ass back to us.
Indecision2008: Do you think a Green Party candidate can win the presidency?
Rosa Clemente: YES
INDY: No, seriously. Do you actually think a Green Party candidate can win the presidency.
RC: AS LONG AS IT'S A DARK GREEN
INDY: What's the 3rd party convention scene like?
RC: WHITE FOLKS THOUGHT WE WERE THE HELP
INDY: Tell us about your first 100 days.
RC: ARREST BUSH AND COMPANY, MAKE ANGELINA AND BRAD'S CHILRDREN MY CABINET AND NO MORE TAXES
INDY: Who's your favorite president. Ever. From any country. Or TV Show?
RC: PRESIDENT PALMER FROM THE SHOW 24
INDY: Describe your leadership style in one word. Don't say green.
RC: HIP-HOP.
INDY: Who will you be voting for?
RC: WHO WILL YOU BE VOTING FOR?
And that's how Green Party vice-presidential nominee Rosa Clemente received the only "A" on the philosophy final.

You claim to be green but do not deny being a pinko. Interesting. McCarthy was a wonderful statesman. You are a Communist and green in name only to attract pot-smoking hippies. Get with it. Anti-environment is in. Commie.

1) I'm a she, not a he. Why do ppl always assume I'm male??
2) No, I didn't know about the 5% rule. I'm glad we have it. But I also think that the chances of getting 5% of the population to cast votes that will not be counted are next to none. And even if you did get the 5% mark and got some more money, what then? You'd get a few more percentage points the next election, and they STILL wouldn't be counted so long as you can't get the majority in a state.
I admire your passion, and I want to see there be more candidate options than the two we have right now – but I still firmly believe that getting rid of the electoral college takes priority over casting votes that won't be counted.
Also, the Green party is not communist, nor even socialist; there are actually several socialist parties with candidates running for office in 2008. They have an even smaller snowball's-chance-in-hell of getting electoral votes.

@iowagradstudent-I always respect your views, but, The Green Party is full of Commie Muslims. They're pink. You know it. I know it. It's time the world knows it. They want to take away your rights as an Iowan. Did you know they felt Iowa shouldn't be considered a state? And, Commies shouldn't be able to spew their propaganda. They aim right for the top with a major media outlet like Viacom. Let them start on cable access. They get way too much coverage as it is with accurate photography as shown here. The entitled elitist scoundrels they are discriminate against all others who aren't green. Even G.W. includes all the colors in a basic set of Crayolas as a matter of fairness to all crayons. Duh. BTW I'm glad you recognize Charlie McCarthy as the great statesmen that he was. I'm sorry your father Joe couldn't compete. His TV series had a much shorter run and lower ratings.
Both Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente would've tied Joe in knots. On the other hand Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert has much more educational and entertainment value. I'd bet Rosa could even nail Stephen. She has very sharp crayons you know.

Naomi Klein says it best! What we need to do is put some people pressure on Obama to STOP his slide into Corporate Politics, the way to do that is to recognize where his strength early on came from, remind him of that and pressure him with support for what the Cynthia Rosa Ticket represents in this country. That's US!
