Does anyone seriously expect it to work? A campaign is all about trying to get more people to like you than the other guy. In other words, “an election is a popularity contest.” And McCain keeps pointing out that Obama is the more popular of the pair. Are these commercials supposed to cause me to go out and vote for McCain out of sympathy, like he’s the dweeb running against the varsity football quarterback?
