Emancipation, Feminism and Equality Conspire to Put the Kibosh on Rush Limbaugh's Favorite Pastimes
Things haven't been right in Rush Limbaugh's America for a long time. Used to be a man was a man and could pick up a tippler and throttle the presidential ambition out of his wife and uppity young help and nobody'd say nothing.
But how the hell does Joe Multimillionaire White Conservative take his rightful place at the seat of our national government anymore when he's got meddlers like the Democratic Party nagging him day and night to "respect" hippie jumbo like "domestic peace" and "equality under the law"?

My thought is that Rush is contemplating restraint as his brain wrestles with addiction. He projects his problems onto the political landscape and it's made him lots of money but left him an empty shell of a human being.

I don't think the issue was ever that BO couldn't take the attacks. I think the issue is that the attacks appeal to the worst aspects of our society; ignorance, fear, anti-intellectualism, racial and religious bias, greed, and gluttony. Of course, that's Rush's bread and butter.
so he called two adults a "girl" and a "man-child." real nice, Limbaugh. you can at least have called them "the woman" and "the black guy." i know, let's call you a "druggie brat" from now on!
