Barack has chosen Seantor Joe Biden to be our VP nominee.

So, it looks like Joe Biden will filling the role of the zzzzzzzzzzzzzz….

  1. POLITICAL HURDLES

NEWSWIRE–Barack Obama has selected U.S. Senator Joseph Biden of Delaware as his intended vice-presidential ticket-mate.

    Using track as a guide,
    Judge the running mate's stride
As he sprints between north and deep south:

Can he dash down a phrase,
Trot it out where it pays,
Yet avoid running off at the mouth?

  2. How was that for ready at 3 a.m.? I just read an Associated Press article that suggested that the Biden pick is being touted as an admition of weakness by Barack Obama and that Joe Biden represents the "status quo": WTF?!?!

Biden is ANYTHING but status quo. He's been a democratic leader and a supporter of Obama who has resonated the themes of change that Obama has so masterfully embodied. I have been a fan of Biden's for a very long time. He's a great man, even if he does speak a little TOO candidly sometimes, but that just goes to prove Obama's committment to a more transparent government.

Choosing a great running-mate isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of good judgement and demonstrates the kind of humility that Obama exudes. There isn't a person in this world who could LEGITIMATELY call either one of these men elitist!

I am so excited! Welcome Senator Biden!

Obama had me at "hope". You had me a LONG time ago!

    Obama-Biden 2008!

P.S. How is Colbert going to handle bashing a fellow Catholic? :)

  3. Biden is the perfect choice. This is fine news. Birdsong is clearer, the air filled with a diffuse light and glorious promise. O frabjus day! Their campaign should be "The future of the USA is going to be sensible. The American people will have better things to do than be terrified and angry. And the rest of the world will stop thinking we're dumb."

  6. Kevin Pierce: love the poem!

Tipper: Colbert won't have a lick of trouble bashing a fellow Catholic; he just has to follow O'Reilly and every other Fox pundit who's going to do just that.

As for Biden… I was never nuts about him as a prez, but as a VP, I can't wait to see he and whoever McCain comes up with go head to head (esp. if it's RoboMitt)!

  7. It will be interesting to see how the Obama campaign uses Biden, since he's a bit of a loose cannon.

  8. As a Catholic woman myself, I have to say, that I will call for Colbert's ex-communication with the Vatican if he even tries to hurt this man!

    Peace be with you!

  9. But you're right, the McBaptists and their paid escorts on Fox News will do attempt to do just that.

    There's a new Papa in town – Papa Barr(y)!

Sorry O'Reilly. You're a washed up old has-been like Rush. But atleast you got to practice real journalism on Inside Edition. How many seniors can say that at the Shuffle Board?

  10. It's 10:35 pm and the panel on CNN is just now figuring out that there is possibly a bit of significance to the 3 am text message. Good morning guys, would you like some pancakes with your, uh, your dessert?
