Jon Stewart Interviews Obama's VP Pick, Joe Biden, on The Daily Show
I got my message from Barack Obama at 4:56 this morning. I'm assuming this was some kind of attempt on Obama's part to prove that he was ready for a 3:00 am call, even on a Friday night.
Anyway, as a very sleepy Dennis reported earlier, he picked Joe Biden for VP. Finally, the Democrats have a chance to win that coveted Delaware vote. Obama has kindly set up a website where you can congratulate Joe.
My guess is that his choice was made a year and a half ago when Biden gave him this lovely compliment:
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy … I mean, that's a storybook, man."

Maybe the closer we get to the Nov. elections, Obama will raise his bribe from 1000 to say, 50000. Why should he stop at a mere thousand?
His voter bribe merely indicates he will do anything to win an election telling me he is desparate and certain he is losing. If his bribe was so great, why did Mccain not do the same?
The word integrity comes to mind.

You know that woman, Tipper, who was blogging on here with me the other night? She's saying that she slept with John McCain 10 years ago!!! She's my neighbor. She says she has pictures and everything and is actually striking a deal with a textile company in Martinsville, Virginia to make T-shirts of them together! She doesn't exactly strike me as the "photo shop" type, so…I don't know.
I never actually saw the pictures, but she's saying this might blow up before the GOP convention. Does anyone know this woman? She's just my neighbor, but apparently she's also an actress, or was.
I google searched her, but I'm just finding a bunch of shit about tipper gore. Does anyone remember her last name?

Give it a break. This comment by Biden is so overplayed and so misunderstood. It was meant in the best possible way… and not racist. As someone who's mouth moves faster than my brain sometimes, I totally get that he said "clean" when he meant "clean cut" and the rest is just complimentary. Obama is a great representation of African Americans and of America. I hope to God he will be our President.

Well, Obama selected Biden to offset his perceived inexperience, particularly in international affairs.
If you pick a vp based on your shortcomings, then McCain must thinking about selecting a young, female doctor.
Biden was wrong on the surge, wrong on splitting up the country.
