Grab Your Hanky, It's Ladies' Night With Hillary Clinton
Speaking of sobbing Hillary delegates, according to the New York Times, today is "women's day" at the DNC. More accurately, it's ladies' night, with a 100% chance of tearstorms…
One thing is certain: [Tonight] is going to be an emotional ride both for Mrs. Clinton, the two-term senator and former first lady who sought to become the first woman to be elected president, and for the women who so passionately supported her and would be the base of any future run.
Mrs. Clinton's carefully mapped itinerary here started on Monday with a sometimes-tearful breakfast with fellow politicians from New York.
Good thing I keep a box of tissues right next to the television (I also use them for those long-distance phone commericals). Will delegates in the Pepsi Center have to wade knee-deep in the ladytears? Maybe we will all get our periods at once!
Anyway, when Hillary finishes having her catharsis with the girls, Democrats can go back to their cold, emotionless support of Barack Obama, and the issues that really matter, like whether or not his wife's outfits make her look dumpy.
