Take Back the Courts
We're at this event mostly because the art is so awesome. Also Senator Cardin is here.
Update (Dennis): Nan Aron is moderating a discussion on upcoming Supreme Court appointments with Christy Hardin Smith of Firedoglake — a self-described "'recovering' attorney", and Pam Spalding of Pam's House Blend.
This is a little disappointing to me. I thought it was gonna be about basketball.
Update 2 (Dennis): The thesis of this conversation seems to be that one of the most important reasons to elect Barack Obama is that the next president's SCOTUS appointees will be tipping the liberal/conservative scales one way or another. And that'll mean a lot for subjects like FISA, Roe v. Wade and other matters of personal rights.
"If Barack Obama doesn't win," Hardin Smith said, "we're screwed."

You will not need a DeLorean to get back to 1955 should McCain be elected. The country will be renamed "Scaliaville."
See the CBS 60 Minutes Interviews with Justice Antonin Scalia. I firmly believe the Supreme Court will go into an unspeakable tailspin (as will society) should McCain be elected. For me, this is the greatest reason to vote for Obama. Parts One and Two of Lesley Stahl's incredible interview are available here below. I use the word incredible because I'm not sure how she managed to not expose him for the true horror story he is. His writings sound like Dr. Seuss almost after this interview, nevertheless, it is a great peek into the mind of an evil genius.

NO MORE WIRE HANGARS… EVER!!! (unless McCain wins).
