AP, FOX News Offer Fair and Balanced Distortion of Obama’s Acceptance Speech
If you didn’t already believe that extremist news organizations like PBS and C-SPAN spin the news three ticks to the left of Trotsky, they reached the final straw last night when they had the gall to air the wrong Barack Obama speech to homes across the nation!
Well let’s put it this way, they certainly weren’t broadcasting the speech witnessed by AP political analyst Charles Babington.
Babington’s report– which strangely enough was available on the FOX News website but not on those of its competitors– fairly and balanced-ly declared…
Barack Obama, whose campaign theme is "change we can believe in," promised Thursday to "spell out exactly what that change would mean."
But instead of dwelling on specifics, he laced the crowning speech of his long campaign with the type of rhetorical flourishes that Republicans mock and the attacks on John McCain that Democrats cheer.
Babington was promptly slammed by MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann, who noted that Obama specifically detailed twenty-nine policy proposals while delineating clear differences between himself and McCain.
But later on MSNBC, Pat Buchanan revealed he had also watched the spin-cycled Obama speech that Babington had avoided, as evidenced by the fact that he couldn’t stop raving about it.
Which leads us to the unthinkable: With Buchanan now officially in the Communist fold, could it be that Charles Babington is the only Fair and Balanced journalist left on the planet??
Oh pffew, there’s still David Brooks.

Oh and do do yourselves a favour and actually read babington's article for yourselves and explainjust exactly what was distorted or unfair about it? Did he call Barak Obama names? Did he invent words and put them in Obama's mouth? Or did he simply express his analysis of weaknesses in the speech as he has a perfect right to?
Anyone who thinks Keith Olbermann is a credible journalist is insane. They might as well describe Hitler as a "German Patriot" or a menacing hurricane as "proof of God"….oh someone said that already?
Olbermann didn't just"slam" Babbington, a respected and veteran journalist, he quite seriously demanded Babbington be thrown out of the profession simply for the fact that he didn't like Obama's speech.
Lets face facts, Keith Olbermann's fondest dream probably involves making every Republican in the country sew a yellow elephant into their jacket lapel and shipping them off to "re-education camps in the East". And judging by the raving hysteria, hate mongering, lack of critical thinking, skepticism, open-mindedness, compassion, and a whole host of other virtues I doubt very much any one on the left would be troubled at all if this came to pass.
So fellas, just keep blaming the Jews- er I mean neocons- for stabbing America in the back and enjoy the wonderful feeling of superiority it gives you while you can. Oh and you can have Pat Buchanan, something tells me he belongs on your side anyway.
The most progressive thing that David Brooks ever did was put on a pink shirt and fuchsia tie for that picture.

Thank God for Keith Olbermann. His voice of truth was so much more needed in the mainstream media than it was in the Sports world. The Neocon infiltration of the mainstream media is complete and it goes far beyond FOX News my friends. When you can control AP Reports you can frame the dialoque in Newspapers all across the country. Charles Babington=Neocon plain and simple. He is not a reporter nor is he a journalist. Regardless of your political persuasion, we as Americans must be deeply disturbed that AP has turned into a propaganda outlet for the NEOCON WAR MACHINE. The AP Report was 100% WRONG. This is big news.
