Happy Birthday, John McCain!
So, you thought John McCain was gonna get himself a robot friend for his birthday today? Nope! He got himself a female VP, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, presumably to woo female voters, apparently based on the belief that the women who were supporting Hillary Clinton were only doing so because of Clinton's gender, and not because of, you know, her beliefs or qualifications.
It raises some questions:
* Does this mean McCain can't talk about Obama's inexperience anymore?
* Does it mean that McCain has now lost two friends named Joe?
* Will Palin get Biden-ated at the next Vice Presidential debate?
* Can a self-respecting political comedy blog post something about McCain's birthday without referencing how very old he is?

WOW! Dan Quayle with a vagina! And she's a beauty queen. I can't wait for her to become president after McCain dies because he got his first natural erection since the Reagan administration and forgot to take his Plavix.
I respect a woman's right to choose, and I don't trust anyone; man or woman, that doesn't, and I can understand people being against abortion, who honestly looks forward to one? But I can't understand the idea of making the federal government the housing board on every cervix in our country.
When I saw the news report at lunch yesterday, I thought, "Oh, how crafty the Republicans are!" I thought they must have found themselves a smart, young woman politician who was going to appeal to all of the women who were so disappointed that Hillary did not get the Democratic nomination. Then I listened to her speak, and thought, "Oh, how incredibly stupid the Republicans are!" This inexperienced soccer mom (who I am sure is very nice) sounds like even she doesn't know how the hell she got picked as his running mate! She has no business being vice president. What if the country buys this duo? Then, after two years of the stress of being president, Mc Cain can't take it, and Sarah takes over. Leader of the free world? Commander – in – chief?
GIVE ME BREAK: McCain you just lost my vote you stupid old blithering idiot. Hell you just destroyed your main argument "To Young" – "to Inexperienced". Man if you keel over (which could happen) this Lady cant become Commander in Chief.

All silliness aside… her husband has proven unequivically why he absolutely cannot be trusted to make any kind of intelligent, vital decisions for the future of our country or the world. The United States' reputation is hanging by a thread… international tensions are at a breaking point… and hundreds of millions of Americans are suffering from a plummeting economy… AND YET he would risk putting the future of the free world in the hands of a young woman, who spent most of the entirity of her career as mayor of a town of 9000 people, where her biggest organizational challenge was making sure the iditarod dog sled races went off without a hitch.
The stakes are TOO high, the risks are TOO awesome for a silly political stunt because this woman appeals to conservative die-hards who care more about blind faith than substance or knowledge.
We all saw what happened when someone with absolutely no qualifications was placed, by the Bush administration, in charge of FEMA. An major American city drowned before our eyes, more than a thousand Americans perished, while this country and Browny's organization, sat on it's hands.
His choice Unacceptable, his judgement is Dangerous and this political ploy is an insult to the American people.

I still cringe when I think about how people were fooled by Bush during the last election. I was frightened by the prospect of McCain winning, but I am terrified by the notion that this inexperienced woman from Alaska could become the leader of the free world. I just hope reality sets in and people see the Republican agenda has always been about Oil and always will be. Choosing a Governor from the pipeline state is just further proof of this. What will the other world leaders think when they see McCain's choice for VP How can we rebuild the respect we lost over the last 8 years? The Obama & Biden ticket truly represent what this country stands for. They have my vote.
Now we know why the 2 VP's were chosen-Biden because he actually knows something about all the issues, and can behave and speak diplomatically.
Palin, because her influence on the ANWR is high, and her lack of experience is making every Republican in Washington salivate over the prospects of another oil puppet in the White House.
