Sarah Palin is Music to Somebody's Ears… She Must Be
If you're like me, you love news about Republican politicians but hate reading long and boring news stories about them with your eyeballs.
Ugh! All those letters and symbols, and almost none of them resemble dirty body parts. I just get frustrated after about thirty seconds.
That's why, whenever I can, I like to read the news with my ears. Luckily Michael Hearst — of the geekishly amazing band One Ring Zero – recently started a website called Songs for Newsworthy News. All the songs are made with sounds, so you don't have to tired out your eyes, and they're all short enough for me to not get bored (until usually around the last few seconds).
Unfortunately, I didn't find his songbriefing on Sarah Palin's VP nomination until it was too late. Don't make the same mistake as me.

And Oil and Gas shill to the core. She's on board with Big Oil, not "reforming" it. I haven't seen one true thing on reform she's done – she was for the bridge to nowhere, before she was against it. She stands in lockstep with Big Oil on drilling in ANWR, and she sued the govt., just to keep the Polar Bear, off the endangered species list. Even though, the very ice they live on, is melting.
So much for the American Eagle, too, when they gut the endangered species act all together. Look it up. That's what they're planning. Christian Science Monitor has the story.
Palin is a slap in the face to Hillary, and the pioneers of the women's movement, who fought so hard for choice. You wanna stamp out abortion? Two words – birth control and education. She's also a slap in the face to all those other highly qualified men and women McCain passed over, in favor of cronyism in an interloping pantsuit.
I want a president who can at least Google Al Qaeda. I want a veep I don't have to cringe about, when talking about foreign policy, and national security. I want plug in hybrids, and green technology. Not the same old tired line, by the Oil and Gas industry, about how we just need to wait 20 more years until they can fix our little oil problem.
Just by upping fuel efficiency, even the littlest bit, we could save millions of barrels of oil, and tell Saudi Arabia to take their oil and shove it. With conservation, technology, and alternative energies, our Eco Economy will boom. Prices would come down lickety split, when demand plummets.
Save oil for plastics, truckers and pilots. Bring on the 5 million green collar jobs.
We need change. Don't believe the snake oil McCain is selling. Palin is nice window dressing, but the underbelly is hiding in a secret back room energy deal, with Cheney.
Wake up, America. We pay their salaries. Why are we not allowed to know what's going on with America's energy plan? Why hasn't Alternative Energy been given equal time with Big Energy.
What a travesty these Neo Cons have perpetrated upon this great country. 4 Million a day for their oil war in Iraq, while McCain is already stirring up trouble with Putin over Georgia.
If all he knows is war, that's what we're gonna get, folks. And on and on and on, until we're bankrupt and our air is as bad as China's.

What a sham. It amazes me that the repubs think that after 8 years (jeers?) of wrecking the country and pissing on the world stage that people are that stupid, on both sides. How ironic that the argument that was presented about Obama's lack of experience is now shot down (no pun intended) by their own party! It's the height of hypocrisy. We don't need any more judgement, and the thought of a trigger happy, neonut, non experienced rookie handling the reigns just in case grampy keels over is unsettling. I hope Smokin Joe takes her to school on diplomacy and foreign affairs, not to mention pragmatism.
OK so I am watching CNN last night and they are discussing the Palin teen pregnancy. They are looping a video of Palin at her VP announcement and I noticed as she was signing autographs her husband was there beside her doing the same thing. Why is he signing autographs? Seriously. Who is he and why do people want his autograph? Is it just me or is this a strange practice?
He's a snow mobiling champion, hes won an ass load of races up here in Alaska, so hes been asked for autographs before, what i wanna know is y her like 9 year old daughter was signing autographs
