But the current society is pretty messed up. We do need change-something fresh. The experience arguement is blasphamous. Maybe we need something fresh and not an old fart who is affected by the old politics yet. But one man can not change all the racists that are the dixiecrats, republicans, or whatever. If he is elected, he will change some and anger the racists even more. I support Obama, I'll start with that.

On September 16th, Mr. Colbert reported that Pravda (a major Russian newspaper) had run articles calling Sara Palin a cow, among other similarly descriptive monikers. I like cows a lot. They provide us with a lot of things, including dairy products and manure we can actually use. So I didn't think this kind of namecalling was very fair to them, particularly since it was purportedly done in a foreign language. I decided to check it out. I went to Pravda's Web site and searched it for articles about Ms. Palin (in Russian, of course). I did it that way because I figured there were probably lots of articles about cows and it would take too long to go through them all. I tried three different spellings of Palin's name (in Russian), but retrieved no articles at all. Hmmm....I guess that means that Pravda writers are more concerned about things like South Ossetia, plane crashes, their own political issues, etc. How surprising, if not shocking, is THAT? Also, it seems Russian speakers haven't even paid enough attention to Palin to even agree on how to spell her name.
