POSTED BY: Dylan and Ethan Ris

The Democratic Convention has come and gone, and now it's the GOP's turn to make their pitch. If you're attending this convention as well, just follow the handy survival guide we issued for the DNC, but note these important differences between the two events:

Convention Aspect DNC RNC
Location Pepsi Center and Invesco Field, Denver XCel Energy Center (Luxury Box), Minneapolis/St. Paul
Theme "Change We Can Believe In" "Country First"
Most Prominent African-American in Attendance Barack Obama Cowboy Troy
Most Prominent Woman in Attendance Hillary Clinton Ann Coulter Sarah Palin
Vaguely Described — But Definitely Evil — Scourge Upon America Big Oil Activist Judges
Crossover Traitor From the Opposing Political Party Rep. Jim Leach (Republican of Iowa) Sen. Joe Lieberman (Political Whore of Connecticut)
Frequency of Mentioning George W. Bush Constant Never
Most Embarrassing Person in Attendance Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA) Sen. Joe Lieberman (Political Whore of Connecticut)
Overriding Sentiments Hope, Change, Exuberance Experience, Constancy, Regularity
  1. Why the bashing? I belong to neither party but I see a lot of people who are bashing Sarah Pulin already.
Why aren't we just looking for the best person for the job and compare records of the past rather than bashing the individual.
I don't understand why some people wish to make politics dirty rather than just supporting the person they feel is best for the job.
I am for USA USA USA USA USA USA!

  3. What does it say about a 72 year old candidate, who's overriding sentiment sounds like a constipation commercial. "Experience, constancy, regularity."

That Palin is a heartbeat away from dealing with Pakistan, and I'd put money on it that McCain is McToast.

  4. One cannot know what to expect when you're expecting because the Palins don't believe in ultrasounds.

  5. If Palin's unborn grandkid is a girl, will you change the chart and make her the most prominent female at the RNC?

  6. Palin: As a posterchild for Christian Womanhood, I would like to introduce you to my teenage unwed pregnant daughter.

by obamagramma September 1st at 2:30PM
  7. Obama: Surely we can agree on reducing the number of unwanted pregnancies.

    McCain/Palin: Oops.

  8. hello my friends,

I've got a little shop right here by the RNC & would love some like-minded visitors to stop by!

We're 7 artists sharing a shop above the Pazzaluna restaurant at Saint Peter St & E 5th St. Just go up the steps at the side-door entrance to the restaurant.

  9. I think Sarah Palin is the daughter that Dick Cheney wished he'd had! If you replaced her hair with Dick Cheney's receding hairline, gray hair and glasses, I think there is a strong resemblance….although she is probably a much better shot!
