Sexist Harry Reid Deploys the S-Word in His Response to Sarah Palin

POSTED BY: Mary Phillips-Sandy

Last night big-game hunter Sarah Palin sighted some varminty Democrats in her crosshairs, and America, she did not hold her fire. (USA!) Among those pierced by her verbal tranq darts was Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, whom Palin described as "leader of the current do-nothing Senate," a man who "can't stand up to John McCain." This morning Reid loaded up his own guns, chivalry be damned

A spokesman for Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid, however, used the s-word to describe Palin, who went after his boss by name….

"Anyone who knows Senator Reid knows he never backs down when he's fighting for what's right and that he always stands up to John McCain when he is wrong," Jim Manley told CNN. "Shrill and sarcastic political attacks may fire up the Republican base, but they don't change the fact that a McCain-Palin administration would mean four more years of failed Bush-Cheney policies."

How inappropriate of Harry Reid spokesman Jim Manley, to call a high-pitched loudmouth lady sarcastic. He ought to be ashamed of himself.

  1. He is a male chauvinist pig, why doesnt he do something
constructive, since he has done nothing so far.

  2. "current do-nothing Senate"

I watch CSpan regularly, and it struck me that the Republicans were deliberately slowing down the work of the people…SOOOOO, I went to Thomas at the Library of Congress to check, and sure enough "invoke cloture" search showed that while Dems filibustered maybe 20 times a session when the minority, since the midterm elections the Reps wasted time more than 138 times and it's only September!! @#!@#WE$

Yup, screw everything up and then blame it on your opponent… sort of like Sarie's speech last night.

  3. McCain to Media: I'm so confident that women are equal to men, I picked one as my running mate!… By the way, she's a women, so give her special treatment and don't ask questions about her background, 'kay?

  4. One minute she is Annie Oakley, the next a fair damsil. Which is it??The Republicans used to ask how Hillary would stand up to male world leaders and the press is picking on poor Annie. Bring out the old rusty coat hangers. McCain finally found his bush.

  5. Like it would be sexist to say a man was "bellowing." Palin IS shrill. She's also a complete idiot, which is more relevant.

  6. I think we heard promise of actions as to what is being changed from the Repulicans, instead of just promise to change. The USA has been a major power for years. Why turn into submissive lemmings now? Palin's stand on making those accountable got my attention. I hope people realize that Obama is handing our country over to the wolves. I heard his own wife deny being proud of being an American. What is different now? And if he looses, will she be even less proud? Will they move to another country they ARE proud to live in?

  7. NAME THAT OPPORTUNITY

NEWSWIRE–Republican women are complaining that media coverage of Governor Sarah Palin is sexist.

    The equal rights quandary hangs over her star;
    Young mom and political newbie:
Worse not to be chosen for what you are,
    Or to be?

  8. Someone in the pharmaceutical industry should concoct some sort of manjuice for female politicians to take the shrill out, kind of like a tidestick. In spray form, maybe.

  9. If the "s" word is "Shrill", I second it!
    I also like "stupid".

  10. "a McCain-Palin administration would mean four more years of failed Bush-Cheney policies."

How can he call the Bush-Cheney policies a failure???

    I got a rebate check!!!
