Did Sarah Palin Try to Ban Books as Wasilla Mayor?
This news report from ABC is so sexist!
How can they report so investigativly about a simple hockey mom who's just looking to turn back the First Amendment and get her kids to school on time?
It's an outrage.
PERMALINK:

Republicans are trying to spin this as "PALIN DIDN'T BAN BOOKS", even though it's a fact that Sarah Palin DID TRY to ban books. It's the principle, people. She only backed down after people in Wasilla rioted.
Not to much different than Sarah Palin saying she said "no" to the "Bridge to Nowhere", even though she did at first say "yes" (oh and kept the money).
This is no different than Sarah Palin comparing her being Mayor to Obama being a Community Organizer, as if being Mayor she was so great? As Mayor of Wasilla, population roughly only 8000, she left the town in over $22 Million Debt.
Like Obama said on Letterman, if he were referring to Sarah Palin in the lipstick comment (he wasn't), then he would say that Sarah Palin was the lipstick to the failed Republican machine.
A Whiter Shade of Palin: Today she faces the music as the media plays its Gibson. Dems hope for more than a Fender-bender.
Sara Palin and George W. Bush: the differences? Simple – she can read.
The *similarities* however, are endless…
What's the difference between Sara Palin and George W. Bush?
- 2 IQ points.
Punchlines anyone?
Oh come on! Who among our own moms doesn't ban books, abuse power, destroy the environment, disenfranchise women, "heal" homosexuals, shoot defenseless animals and lie all the time! Get real! She's a regular mom!
Anyone who says she thinks like they do, or represents them, is an unqualified ass.
Great, she's worse than Bush. Bush is an idiot, she's an crusading idiot… far more dangerous. Palin shows her foolishness in this story though, even kodiak bears know better than to get between a librarian and her books.
Has anyone noticed what book the town of Wasilla tried to remove from the library in 2005?
Item Challenged: America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction by Jon Steward (spelling taken from Mayor's office press release)
Result: Remained on shelf.
Granted this occurred long after SP left the mayor position, but it just goes to show that nothing good can come from Wasilla.
