What's the Difference Between Sarah Palin and David Cook from American Idol?
David Cook came in first place.

I think I might be able to explain some of Sarah Palin's appeal. She's the "American Idol" candidate.
Consider. What defines an "American Idol" finalist? They're good-looking, work well on television, have a sunny personality, are fierce competitors, and so talented, why, they're darned near the real thing.
There's a reason "American Idol" gets such high ratings. People identify with the contestants. They think, Hey, that could be me up there on that show!
Some days, I really do wish it was my job to write about American Idol instead of American politics.
It would be a lot less insipid.

You're kidding right? LOL David Cook is one of the worst contestants to come from that show. He is an emo poser and Palin is the real deal. I can see all the little losers that watch American Idol are here posting. LMAO
This is an outrageous insult…to David Cook. As lame as he is, he is most likely far more intelligent, decent, and moral than someone like Sarah Palin.
If you can't see past the hype enough to notice that Palin is woefully ignorant in terms of science, foreign policy, economic policy, and common human decency, then you have my pity, but please don't vote.
We should be so lucky as to have David Cook run for VP, or one day president. (If Ronald Reagan can do it after years in state politics, anyone can!)
David is not only one of the most talented singer/songwriters out there today, he's gifted intellectually, is a critical thinker, compassionate, logical, sensitive, has tons of integrity, well mannered, quick on his feet, articulate, and not bad to look at during a press conference! And he appears to have lived a pretty clean life, especially for a rocker! My vote is for David Cook!
both david and sarah get my vote! the only difference is that i was able to vote many times for david. ill only be able to vote once for vice president palin
David Cook's demographic is teenage girls, fat middle aged menopausal women with lots of cats, grandmothers and a few gays. If they're the only ones who vote, then Sarah Palin has a shot, too. But, wait, men vote, too, don't they? Looks like Sarah by a landslide. Sorry, David, but your career will be short.
Sheesh, what an insult to David Cook. Sarah Palin is a joke and a bad one at that. Anyone who would vote for McCain/Palin is dumb as a bag of hammers or has a profound character defect. On the contrary, David Cook has inspired millions with his music and heart.

To compare the two is an insult to David Cook. David is talented, bright, articulate, educated, and compassionate. Sarah is none of these. While David Cook tried to keep his brother out of the media, she dragged her teenage daughter's private life into the public. What mother would purposely put her daughter in such a limelight. She had to have known that the media would jump all over it because of her own stand on only teaching abstinence. Didn't work in her family. As for her son's deployment, brilliant move, do you really think that the military would let him stay now that she is running for vice. She announced when and where. He will be pulled out like Prince Henry.
