Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton Play the Flirg Card
Many thanks to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for returning to Saturday Night Live last night to produce this gem.
However, I Googled "flirg," and haven't found a satisfactory answer.

Im surprised the big issue was Obamas response. I would think that running for vp, Palin would be careful with sexist self deprecating jokes like this one. I am a hockey mom and I think there are many differences between me and a violent dog. For one Palin, I'm human and I dont always wear lipstick.

My research on /F/L/ER/J/ comes up with the following plausibles in order from most to least likely based on hit results and the primacy of politcal terms associated with Hillary Clinton:
1 – F.L.I.R.G. First Lady Is Really Gay (This idea has at least 12 years of history with roughly 200,000 results to "Hillary Clinton" and lesbian). No example is needed.
2 – Flerg has a definition of "The state of a man's penis when it is not erect." Such usage is consistent with speech and thought patterns in male culture and means a sexual turn-off. Hillary has a history of being mocked about her looks and lack of sexual comeliness. This is not typically considered a valued asset in a politician (Thatcher and Merkel LEAP to mind here), but American media certainly value sexier women in the staffing of their news programming because SEX SELLS. Clearly McCain realized that–and Palin is very smart, so her inexperience is already becoming a non-issue with a majority of voters. Unfortunately for Clinton, an American sexual ethos and consumer proclivity favoring sexy women probably factored in to her being less popular than Obama. (Eg. Mike went on a date with a girl who was really smart and funny, but she's such a flat, skinny flerg they never went out again."
3 – Flurge is a common result originating with the Urban Dictionary as “A cross between a flush and purge.” This certainly describes how she's been treated by her husband (esp. during the Lewinsky affair), her party and the media lately; it describes how people might tend to treat her and her failed campaign. It makes little sense as a descriptive of her personally.
The Flurge Lesson: do not go HARD negative in a primary–EVER–unless you want to be known as a bitter crank and get flurged.
I don't think any of the hundreds of other guesses have any credibility.
