Joe Biden Hates "The Empire Strikes Back"
The Obama campaign announced today that Joe Biden will be going on the attack today…
Aides say Biden will use his unique standing as McCain's decades-long Senate colleague to further accuse the Arizona senator of being a "sequel" to President Bush's two terms.
"We've seen this movie before, folks," Biden will say, according to excerpts provided by the campaign. "But as everyone knows, the sequel is always worse than the original."
Generally speaking, I don't mind tough tactics on the campaign trail. But outright lies? Seriously, Joe, let's look at the record…

But McCain IS the third installment. First Bush Sr, then Junior, now McCain.
It's Alien 3, Batman Forever, Spiderman 3…
Don't stress it. I like the Matrix Reloaded better than the first as well. As for the other examples, the message is clear. The sequel can be better than the original. Now it's the third that usually sucks.

Evil Dead II isn't a sequel – it's Evil Dead I with a better budget.
Aliens is a better action movie than Alien is, but it's not even in the same genre (horror), so comparison is dumb.
X2 may have been better than X-Men, but they were both dreadful so I don't know what your point is exactly.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the current Bush, "Bush II: The Search for More Money". A McCain administration would be "Bush 33 1/3."

Sam Raimi makes the list twice (that I know of). Evil Dead II is one great flick. There is talk of another one. Every even numbered Star Trek is pretty good. Smokey and The Bandit 2 is like caviar. Everywhich Way But Loose is touching. Revenge Of The Nerds 2, Nerds in Paradise has Booger and Ogar and they are quality thespians and Ogar goes nerd. Rambo, First Blood Part 2, (eh, not better than the original but solid). Friday The 13th Part 2, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (part 3 actually), Bride of Chucky, and Lord of The Rings II – The Two Towers.
Why do you think Matrix Reloaded is better than the original? That admission had to be tougher than Cheney's daughter coming out of the closet.
