John McCain Spokesperson Calls Out "Sexist" Tina Fey

POSTED BY: Dennis DiClaudio

Believe it or not, but McCain campaign spokesperson Carly Fiorina didn't like Tina Fey's "sexist" portrayal of Sarah Palin on SNL this past weekend…

"Well, I think that she looked a bit like her. I think that, of course, the portrait was very dismissive of the substance of Sarah Palin, and so in that sense, they were defining Hillary Clinton as very substantive, and Sarah Palin as totally superficial.

"I think that continues the line of argument that is disrespectful in the extreme, and yes, I would say, sexist in the sense that just because Sarah Palin has different views than Hillary Clinton does not mean that she lacks substance. She has a lot of substance."

Yeah, that's an excellent point Fiorina makes. I would have expected more from Saturday Night Live than a caricatured and less-than-flattering portrayal of an American politician. What is comedy television coming to?

But, you know, really, what more could we have expected from a rabid male-chauvinist like Tina Fey? It just burns me up! A guy like her will never understand what it's like to be a highly successful, intelligent and substantive woman working in a field widely dominated by adolescently-minded men.

Why can't she be more of a gentleman like that nice ol' John McCain?

  1. I would really like to know how the Republicans can be running on a "Country First" platform-then pick this idiot out of every other Republican idiot to be VP? If they really cared about this country, first of all, they wouldn't be Republicans… but even so, they picked a woman who has ABSOLUTELY no real-world experience(Alaska doesn't really count, does it?) to possibly be one step away from being leader of the free world..Can you picture it? Her being the president?? If you thought Bush II was a disaster, just imagine THAT scenario.. That decision wasnt made because anyone thought she was the best candidate for the job.. it was made because McCain is desperate and hopes that the disgruntled Hillary supporters will be stupid enough to just vote for him because Palin is a woman(allegedly).. To totally disregard the fact that she is woefully inept for this job just to try to pander to women is not only disrespectful to any woman with half a brain, but it also shows how much he's worried about putting "Country First"..

  2. Wrigley's, the chewing gum folks have hired Palin and Fey to kick off their 'the harder you blow, the bigger the pop' campaign. The pair will be known as the "doublemint milf's".

  3. Hello? This is SNL we're talking about — of course they are going to make fun of ANY political figure to the best of their ability, whether by stooping to physical appearance, caricature-like depictions, etc… I am a Republican but am not offended by such antics.
I do feel television has a biased portrayal overall towards more liberal thinking (despite the population being pretty much split down the middle) but that's a whole different issue.

  4. I think that this was misquoted.

They did not say "…disrespectful…" and "Sexist", they said "…respectful…" and "Sexiest"!

Side note: Mrs. Palin is just jealous of Tina Fey and afraid of Tina having a baby.

Because soon as Tina has a baby, she will replace Sarah as America's most favorite MILF.

  5. Umm… McCain needs to hire non-retards. Claiming somone is not substantive is not sexist. Claiming somone is not substantive is sexist when the reason is reliant on gender, which obviously is not the case since Hillary was deemed to have a brain in the skit.

  6. I didn't find Fey's stunning impersonation of Palin was sexist. I DO find terms like MILF sexist — anything that objectifies women falls into that crap bucket. Do milf-hounds really think anyone cares who they’d LF? Creepy loosers! Fey and whatever passes for writers/editors/directors at SNL should know better. It’s just more evidence that SNL is slipping into increasingly juvenile “comedy”. No doubt, good comedy writing is very hard, but SURELY they could do better with a bit more effort (or turnover).

  7. Unfortunately the republicans have nothing to run on and him picking Sarah Palin made it even worse. They are basically trying to destroy America even further even before they are starting the presidency with lie after lie after lie! I sincerely hope these evil methods the republicans are using to bring our country to dire situations and destruction with their ignorant policies and constant smear tactics on good men will send them to the infernal hell they belong too. They are pure evil spouting self righteous bullsh*t. They will bring America death and I hope the democrats learned their lesson about not thinking they will win everytime. The democrats will also corrupt if they have unchecked power but to spout God called us to the mission in Iraq to send our men and wemen to DIE is insane!!! And as one author suggest bombing iran will cause us to engage in a war that wont stop till at least one of our major cities is destroyed should be kept in perspective and severely looked into. Because its true!!!

  8. Tina Fey knows more about everything than Sarah Palin does about anything. And who gives a rat's ass about what Carly Fiorina thinks? He incompetence and arrogance almost sunk HP and she was shit-canned for it, albeit with a $42 mil parachute. Carly STFU.

  9. Please knock it off. It was just for fun. Come on it's SNL, not one of your campain's plans. This sounds like it's just a response from a lady, well a spokewoman who must have been burning inside because no one has called her "the sexiest:. LOL.

  10. I'm pretty positive they weren't making any sort of sexist remark towards Palin seeing as the other woman on stage was also a woman who they were portraying as intelligent. I can see how it would offend people, but they weren't putting Sarah's gender on the line, they were purely portraying her as an idiot (which I must agree with)
