Former President Bill Clinton to Appear on The Daily Show Tuesday
…to discuss the Clinton Global Initiative, a sharp pivot from his 2006 interview with Jon Stewart, where he discussed the Clinton Global Initiative.
PERMALINK:

From the recent polls it appears that many Hillary supportors are not supporting Barack. There appears to be only one viable reason why they would not — they will not vote for an African American and are racist, and did not really believe in Hillary's (and your) message of equality and tolerance. What is your message to these Hillary supporters???
Chris Rock said on Letterman last night that it seems like Bill can't even bring himself to say the name Obama. Jon, ask Bill why he's given such tepid praise for Obama, but he always finds something nice to say about McCain.
Ask him about the underwhelming endorsements he has recently given to Obama on the View and Letterman that Chris Rock called him out on.
Please ask Clinton why he is trying help McCain win this election. He is ruining his reputation and showing himself to be a self absorbed, petty person. He obviously cares nothing about the future of this country or his party. His behavior towards Obabma will not be forgotten. Signed a FORMER Clinton admirer
I, like many others it seems would like Jon to ask Mr. Clinton why he's constantly praising John McCain and Sarah Palin, yet has nothing good to say about the guy that's actually his parties' nominee, Barak Obama. With friends like Bill Clinton, Obama doesn't need any enemies.
considering the current 700billion bailout issue… There was an interesting piece about FED in the Zeitgeist documentary. Is there any truth about FED there? Is the FED getting too much power?
I saw the Letterman show and Chris Rock nailed it. It seems Clinton's EGO and PRIDE are way too big to allow him to ask people to vote for Obama and save this country. He's still actively campaining for Hillary.
Jon should ask Clinton why, if he's not going to help Obama in this election, doesn't he just disappear and stay off the networks?…. oh wait… that's right… EGO.
One last comment. There's been a lot of talk of a "Clinton political machine." Let's make one thing clear. The Clinton "machine" is not up there with the top Democrats who are very much elitists, but down here amongst the people.
When Senator Obama first came up, many of us fell in love at first sight but felt he was not quite ready and America was not quite ready for him yet. I personally hoped to see him elected in 4 or 8 years.
And then, Senator Kennedy decided he wanted to get into a little pissing match with Bill Clinton.
I am no fan of Senator Kennedy. I will never forgive him for his cowardice; for putting himself first, leaving that woman to die at Chappaquiddick, and then failing to report it for several hours afterward. He's not my "Uncle Teddy."
True to form, in this campaign he put himself first again. At the time many people I spoke to feared for Senator Obama's political future in the event of a loss. We felt it could be a very important future, and many feared for his safety as well. But Senator Kennedy didn't mind risking any of that since he just had to win his pissing match with Bill Clinton. Can you imagine the consequences to the country in the event of some horrible tragedy? Senator Kennedy didn't care. He'll drive off a bridge. What the heck?
Kennedy talked about healthcare at the DNC and I have to admit I was a little perturbed to hear him go on about it. Back when healthcare reform was first proposed by then first lady Senator Clinton, she was shot down while their was still time to avert an all out healthcare crisis. Ethics in medicine are now at an all time low. Pharmaceutical companies have the most powerful lobby in Washington. It is a mess right now. A mess! And it's a mess that Senator Clinton has been fighting to clean up since forever. It's called "being in touch." And now she's got good ideas about what to do about the mortgage crisis so that "Mr. Potter" doesn't get it all.
Look, I have NO more time for Senator Kennedy's pissing matches and his own egocentric attachment to furthering his own mythical family legacy. We the people are down here! My family loved JFK, but that was a different time. Out with the patriarchs. It's time for a woman to lead.
I don't want to hear any more bullshit about President Clinton's ego and ambition. If I had a husband who was willing to remain impartial were I seeking office, I'd divorce him and marry the "First Dude."
That's it for me. Or somebody's going to have to pay me for this.
I echo the previous questions…why does Bill go on and on about John McCain and continue to campaign for Hillary? If he doesn't want to campaign for Obama he should just be man enough and say so. He is not doing this campaign any favors. He think he is "slick" but I don't think he realize (or maybe don't care) that we can see right through him. This/he/her will be remembered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John,
Please ask Clinton why he is giving Obama such underwhelming support.
