Joe Biden Mad! Joe Biden Smash Barack Obama! Wait, What?

POSTED BY: Mary Phillips-Sandy

Hey, remember that other person running for vice president this year? Ol' Joe Biden. Kid from Scranton. Former train hobo. Pugilistic-type guy.

He's on the loose, recently spotted in the Ohio area. Approach with caution

He was lapping it up like a big, thirsty St. Bernard, bounding from one Main Street stop to the next. He hugged babies, gobbled sugar pie and crashed tables of women drinking coffee at a diner, the fourth derriere stubbornly squeezed onto an orange bench built for three.

On his final campaign stop, Joe Biden went haywire and hugged a pie, gobbled a baby, jumped on a table and spanked some lady's derriere.

Ha ha, I'm just kidding, of course. Joe Biden didn't do that. He did, however, turn his famous Irish Catholic temper on that sleazemonger Barack Obama

The veteran Delaware senator, who adds foreign policy heft to the ticket of Democratic nominee Barack Obama, was asked about [Obama's] controversial political commercial in a CBS news interview.

"I thought that was terrible by the way," said Biden, when asked about a campaign ad [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-ae409tJEI] which made fun of McCain's admitted lack of ease with computers.

"I didn't know we did it, and if I'd had anything to do with it, we would have never done it," Biden said.

You give 'em hell, Joe.

And if you ever find out which idiot approved that ad in the first place, why, you should just go ahead and fire him.

  1. We have one VP candidate that's not on a leash. I love that about the Obama-Biden ticket. They've made it clear that transparency is important in democracy. (Cf. Obama's pledge to use C-Span.) If nothing else, the way Palin is being handled should tell us a lot about how a McCain/Palin presidency would be. It'd be the Bush/Cheney bunker all over again.

  2. Biden is always right and never strays from the reservation. I don't get it.

  3. I really love Joe. I can't wait for SNL skits of Obama & Biden in the future.

  4. At least someone in Democrat is honest, not like those right wing Republicans who won't admit their low class, liberal bashing ads all over the internet. I guess they like to 'stick the gun' no matter what direction it heads – which might be – hell?

    by motherof3 September 23rd at 5:28PM
  5. Even if you think that ad was stoopit it wasn't all that stupid. Even young, left-leaning, veggie chomping progressives tend to sneak a little red meat every now and then. I'm sure there were more than a few heads bobbing up and down when they saw that ad, with a few murmurs of 'true dat'.

Of course Biden's right – it's a bad ad and it could have been still born without anyone minding. But we can give the Obama campaign a mulligan or two, especially when you gaze at the panoply of trash that McCain's campaign has pasted all over the bandwidth.

  6. fuck mccain, he's right about to die of old age, actually he already would have in nature.

by Don September 23rd at 12:41PM
  7. Well he got upset because he and McCain are still good buddies and he doesn't want to upset McCain and possibly jeopardize their weekly Dominoes contest in the park.

by flasunbum September 23rd at 12:25PM
  8. I'm not faulting Biden for this one– it was a stupid ad and the Obama campaign shouldn't have run it. It's not that it's *untrue* that McCain isn't in touch with the digital age… it's that it was *way* too easy for the Republicans to come back with, "Oh Dear Lord, you're making fun of a POW for this WAR INJURIES! BLAAAARGH! HOW UNPATRIOTIC OF YOU!!!" Also, I could see anyone who's friends with McCain being a bit upset with the implication too. So yeah, dumb ad.

  9. Outrageous!! How dare he! Shame on Joe Biden for not being a slavish, sycophantic yes-man to Barack Obama, as is expected of all VPs. The next thing you know he'll be having original thougths and deeply held convictions, and may even become uppity.

  10. I think he was just being his funny self. Ha ha… NOT :p
