Countdown to Electiony: 41 Days
You know how George W. Bush — the 43rd POTUS — is real fond of giving nicknames to people? Like "Turd Blossom" and "Brownie" and "Cooter Burger."
Well, did you know that he even has a few for his old man, George H.W. Bush, who was president just before him and Bill Clinton.
Actually, "Old Man" is one of them. No idea how he came up with that.
And "41" is even more confounding.

And when the dust settled, and the bipartisan committee seemed to end up in favor of 'some version' of the administration's economic bailout plan, those testifying all said it needed to be done, agreed (belatedly) to oversight, and all the King's men pushed back their chairs.
AFTERWARDS, it has generally been agreed to by everyone that Cox really got behind it and Crapo and Akaka are all over it now.

Is it me? Or did anyone else notice that it was Crapo reporting to Akaka in the bailout hearing this morning?
