Speaking of Barack Obama:

Barack Obama is a racial-minority individual, and in his heart and mind he inevitably does not endorse hate crimes committed by George W. Bush.

George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).

George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.

And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.

Many people know what Bush did.

And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.

Bush was absolute evil.

Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.

Bush is a psychological prisoner.

Bush has a lot to worry about.

Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.

In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.

On John Stewart's reference to Sen Biden's Beretta having to be a pistol. They make full line of shotguns as well. Nice try to make fun, albeit misinformed.

A reply to the reply by Dana Chilton: You are absolutely right that they voted for the bridge, in that the appropriation was a part of the budget. Earmarks work that way because congressmen do not generally vote against the whole bill. I also suspect that a proposed amendment to just remove an earmark from the budget will not get very far and likely make more enemies than friends. My point, which you seemed to ignore, was that they could have had a principled reason for opposing the amendment that would have *also* canceled funding for the bridge. The CNN article simply accused Mr. Biden and Mr. Obama of actually opposing removing the earmark without any mention of the rest of the amendment. It is "faulty" because it lacks complete research and does not present the reader with a complete story. Concerning Mr. Biden's own earmarks, I can only agree with you concerning ignorance and hypocrisy.

Whoa, whoa. Just because they voted for the bridge funding does not make them hypocrites. Who was it who told the world that she stared Washington down and said, "Thanks, but no thanks" when what she meant was "Thanks"? While they may be mocking the bridge (and their own votes), and while they may be mocking Sarah Palin's seeming hypocrisy, they're not necessarily being hypocritical about this.

Just a reply to Mr. Cole. The story isn't "faulty". Regardless of the Amtrak related parts of the bill, the point of the story is that both Obama and Biden both voted for the "bridge to nowhere" and their recent attacks on McCain's team shows that they're either hypocrites or ignorant of how they, themselves, vote. CNN's story also included a list of earmarks Biden has proposed for his state. On the issue of earmarks and unnecessary federal spending, McCain and Palin have Obama and Biden beat.

I saw this same faulty story at CNN. Please actually read the text of the Senate amendment. It was an attempt to dismantle Amtrak by allowing any rail company that used an Amtrak rail track for a year to petition for ownership of the track. The amendment is S.AMDT.2165 for the House bill H.R.3058. In case you were unaware, amendments may include more than one change to a bill. Whether they should is another matter.....
