Stephen can't think of anything more presidential than suspending your presidential campaign.
Will John McCain help the economic meltdown by returning to Washington, or is he just avoiding the debates?

85,000,000,000 (85 billion) divided by 200,000,000 (200 million) equals 425 not 425,000 … Maybe that's why our country is in such bad shape financially?

Yeah! Too bad, as my friend pointed out, that $85 billion between 200 million adults 18+ equals $425 thus it is $297.50 and what can I do with that? haha I'd get a sack of California finest herbs and 6 pack and I will still have money for lunch.
@Kannon: not only is your maths way off (and I really mean wayy off), this plan of yours would make the economy weaken. You see there's a reason the US mint doesn't just start printing out billions of dollars to bail out these companies, it would flood the economy. This in turn would cause the dollar to be devalued to (or past, in some peoples opinions) the point of worthlessness.
…and don't forget the tax on that 425!
Brilliant move by McCain because once again it shows that Obama us useless as a senator. He would probably only vote "present" if he went to Washington anyway. Way to be a statesman McCain. Country first. Barack is the one who is scrambling, and needs the debate. We all know their position by now anyway.
Did you miss something like a decimal point.. or two, or three? 85 billion divided by 200 million is only $425.00 per person, not $425,000.00 per person.

McCain suspended his campaign and went to washington my ass…he must have made a detour through CBS news in NYC because thats where he was after he said he suspended his campaign.
All of you questioning Kannon's math I think are failing to take into account that many people in America have spouses, so you need to double that $425. Now I'm not mathematician, but I believe that rounds out to somewhere around $74,000.
