Change you can trust, a slogan that could turn around McCain's campaign?

Change you can trust contrasts beautifully with change you can believe in.

Everyone wants change, only with a team that we can trust to implement it.
If you're in a tough spot, you want someone to come to help you that you can trust, not someone you believe may want to help you.

John McCain, polls show, is rated as highly qualified and highly trusted. This slogan, change you can trust, reinforces this message.

It can even be added on to John McCain’s current slogan. Country first, change you can trust. Or perhaps Change you can trust that puts Country first. Or how about Change you can trust that puts America first

It implies without directly saying it that the other side is perhaps a little less trustworthy.

It also reinforces the message that in a time we are facing battle with Al Qaeda worldwide and two conventional wars, John McCain is a commander in chief you can trust to lead us to victory.

There are 30 days left before Election Day. Sarah Palin’s debate performance was good, but it's really up to John McCain to win.

Sarah Palin is known to reverse positions and this leads to a "palin"drome story.

Fact:
Wasilla, Alaska, is 1130 km from Russia coast.

How high above the Earth’s surface do you have to be to see a point 1130 km away along the Earth’s surface? If we start plugging numbers into a "Distance To Horizon Calculator", we get an answer of 101425.88 meters. You have to go 101 km (63 miles!) above Wasilla before you can see Russia. You can knock 104 meters off of that if you like to account for Wasilla’s elevation above sea level.

Marriage is not religious!!!

Marriage = A legal union between two people, legitimized by a magistrate on a marriage certificate.

Wedding = The religious ceremony held by a church that sanctifies a marriage (the legal component) in the eyes of God.

Stop spreading lies. There are millions of people who have marriage certificates, and they never set foot in a church. Their marriage is 100% legal and God never had anything to do with it. Marriage is a LEGAL procedure, not a religious one. Christians are distorting the truth by insisting that it's marriage, not just weddings, that are religious in origin.

Um, no. It's not a lifestyle choice.

Maybe you mean she'd ban gay PEOPLE, which is an unconscionable thing for a free country to do.

Still a red herring though. The issue here is marriage, and if she's against letting gay people marry, then that sucks.

Not that too many straight people actually care whether gay people marry or not. I've seen the polls, and basically most of America just shrugs. One of the things I love about America is the general live-and-let-live attitude. Unfortunately a very vocal and powerful few religious fanatics don't share that attitude.

The issue is less that Palin will personally prevent gay marriage, the issue is that a McCain administration will be permitted to replace outgoing current Supreme Court Justices with those that will be willing to uphold a Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

Like I previously mentioned, where the two conflict, permitting gay marriage has the weight of authority behind it because the rationale you used would violate the establishment clause of the 1st amendment.

As far as Obama's experience, Obama has sponsored or co-sponsored 670 bills this Congressional session McCain has sponsored only 253. With reference to Palin, the comparison is less clear since she doesn't work in the same branch of government, nor at the national level, unlike the two senators. The comparison is also moot because Palin is best compared to Biden, just as McCain is best compared to Obama since they are running for the same positions.
