I've had an epiphany. Her handlers will mic her for the debate and feed her coherent answers. Allowing for some moments for her to process what she's hearing from her coaches, she'll appear thoughtful and deliberative. Spin-meisters will claim she's just a quick study. DNC, please insist on a thorough search of her before the debate. Don't forget those huge glasses!

If she has to go it alone and unaided, it WILL be a giggle.

Sure, why not a bake-off for the vice-presidential debate? Biden gets to answer the standard questions one would ask of any reasonable candidate, but Sarah has to demonstrate her foreign policy creds by spelling words like *meringue* and then must whip up a tarte tatin, or some such. And no fair looking up a recipe. Nothing involving moosemeat. Or venison. I'd pay to see that contest!

McCain is going to portray himself as the only one looking out for the "little guy" by aligning himself with the revolting right republicans currently blocking the bailout. Too bad the Dems can't get their sht together for a fairer plan which would involve confiscating the ill gotten gains of the boneheads who ran the US banking system into the ground in the first place.

seriously. this charade is insulting! do you all remember what happened the last time people voted for "aw shucks, speakin good ain't important"? this isn't a movie with a fool-proof (literally) happy ending. 8 years later, some of our most significant national infrastructures are failing (economy, foreign policy, etc.). why? because speakin good weren't the only thing he weren't good at.
