The Wordle Debate: Barack Obama "Thinks," John McCain "Knows"

POSTED BY: Michael Kraskin

Just because wordle is so much fun, we ran all the words that the candidates spoke last night.

In the clouds below, the relative size of a word indicates the relative frequency each candidate spoke that word. Click on the images for a larger version.

Barack Obama

John McCain

UPDATE: The link to the larger McCain version should be fixed.

  1. Has anyone heard that Michelle Obama is pregnant ?

  2. Am I having a flashback:

  3. Actually, Rush Limbaugh is pregnant. He ate one of the Palin kids.

  4. I input the Indecision blog into "wordle" and McCain takes a big ol' dump. So for all of those who sob about the liberal bias here, you're wrong. The proof is always on the web.

  5. EVERYONE should stop calling the Government's decision to "BAILOUT" the GREED of FREE CAPITALIST a "BAILOUT" and call it by it's RIGHTFUL name: The assistance, especially money, food, and other necessities, given to the needy or dispossessed = WELFARE, a word, that until they were THE dispossessed, REPUBLICANS vehemently opposed.

  6. Paul V. Why are you here? No, really, cosmically, what purpose do you serve? You are neither informed, original nor interesting, and you insult your maker by reducing your God-given intellect to that of an over-excited flea.

  7. And I have an objection to your misuse of commas.

by Cube September 28th at 11:17AM
  8. I did a word cloud (wordle.com) for Palin's speech, using only her responses to the 3rd Couric interview (re foreign policy). Besides showing evidence of dependence upon talking points, I don't see "McCain" even once (did I overlook it)? Isn't her job to promote the Presidential candidate? Yet another poor reflection on McCain's ability to make Presidential decisions . . .

  9. McCain's Iraq strategy – must win at all costs – deja vu Vietnam?

by akatony September 29th at 9:47AM
  10. I can't find "orgy" on Obama's one. That was the highlight of the debate.
