The Daily Show: Wyatt Cenac Watches the Debate With Senior Citizens
Senior Senior Correspondent Wyatt Cenac returns to Florida to get some insightful feedback from elderly Jewish residents on which candidate they choose.
Post debate analysis reveals John McCain is going to die soon, and Michelle Obama has a big butt. Are these Florida swing voters hilariously out of touch, or simply telling it like it is?
PERMALINK:

Please dont forget who EDITED this piece….A reputable news organization? CSPAN?
If we are unable to joke with people of different races about all of our stereotypes we will never "all get along". If we are afraid to point out our differences to one another, and any reference to our differences are taboo, it is all fake. We will never get to the bottom of racism being politically correct.
Signed,
A cr@cker asXed cr@cker. (oops can I mis-spell that on a blog?)

Good morning dear. Look, I don't know who has been advising your campaign, but there needs to be a slight change in rhetoric.
We are not going to Washington to "shake things up." We are not Charo. We are not doing the hootchie-coochie here. We are going to Washington to CLEAN HOUSE! Period.
Did you ever see this movie called "A Price Above Rubies"? If not, then I strongly recommend that you see it. You'll get the idea. That's right. Nobody in their right mind would want to face an angry mob of Matushkas clamoring for resignations.
Specifically, the clique in Washington must go. The Senate floor needs to be opened up to debate so that any Senator who is motivated to address this crisis can be heard both on the floor and in the homes of America. Ask Senator McCain to urge the Senate and the Congress not to pass anything until this happens.
@Valerie Jean – I hope the days of black/Jewish coalitions are not over. Don't forget, many of the driving forces behind the NAACP were Jewish. Sure, that was a long time ago, but I still think we have more in common than not. That goes for all of us, but I am talking about blacks and Jews.
val-
In it's earliest days, the NAACP was championed primarily by Quaker women. The Quakers are the church of Philadelphia, but it's a church that encompasses all non-Evangelical Protestants as well.
I don't think this was funny at all, these were fairly intelligent older voters, is the video implying that they weren't?
Oh, ValerieJean….
"The statements about Michelle Obama should have been removed"…
That's it – if we just erased or stopped recording the things said by Americans which make us uncomfortable because other Americans think they should not have said them, it will surely fix all our woes.
Denial is more than just a river in Egypt – it's apparently the new path to happiness!
What I give DailyShow credit for is that they are the ONLY media outlet that deals with the news who would (could) ever show that clip, because if any of the "legitimate" news programs showed this country just how biased, racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and stupid this country really is, we'd shoot ourselves. So along comes Jon Stewart and he gets to actually show the truth about how ugly some people really are and he succeeds – it actually makes it on the airwaves so there is some historical record of what was a real event, and at the same time it's presented as comedy so that people who are really ashamed of the truth can deny it as truth, and people with their eyes open can say, "Wow. Our country really is worse than I thought. Perhaps I can get involved in change things".
I bet that last sentence really tripped everyone. Why is there so much interest by younger voters, and why is DailyShow getting so much of the credit for it? Because the old farts blow him off thinking he's a joke, and the younger crowd gets the joke and realizes it's more truth than is on the real news.
Please – when a real American makes an unscripted ugly statement about themselves, don't ask anyone not to show it. We need more honesty in this country, even if it's ugly, and even if the comedians are the only ones with the courage (or the credentials) to put it out there.

Thanks for saying that! I agree: Michelle Obama comments should have been removed. That's awful. I don't see anyone dissecting the looks of the male candidates. Just very inappropriate. I'm disappointed at The Daily Show for this one.
That Jewish woman is obviously bitter tongued and mean. I bet that she's ashamed of seeing it put out there, to have said it out loud. She's the one looking bad here.
My hemorrhoids burn. Also, I do not see why people complain about Michelle Obama's tuchas. It's like a nice piece of furniture that can passed down for generations. Palin's tush is too small and it is bony. She has no substance to her tush.
Shalom.
ok, i see the video is trying to show that they have a lot of jewish old person stereotypes, but these people were having relatively intelligent discussions with a couple stereotypical remarks (ie she has a big touchous) thrown in. overall, the daily show is off the mark with this segment
I'm Jewish and I thought this was hilarious because I'm 65, senior citizen in Fl, and though these folks MUST be older they remind me of Jews from the early 50's when they were kids?! I laughed so hard and sent it to friends. Remember, Only JON STEWART is in a position to make fun of our own people. It's not racist, imho, if it comes from Jon. I just couldn't believe the SAME types are still around. I did NOT like the Michelle comment because I LUV Michelle. But I loved the "Obama smokes, he might have LUNG Cancer?!?!
