Sarah Palin's Reading List
Presidential contenders Barack Obama and John McCain are published authors, as is Obama's running mate, Joe Biden.
That leaves McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin, who is still in the "reading" phase of her career.
And what does she read, you might ask? No, it's not "The Brothers Karamazov" in the original Russian. But it's quite a list nonetheless…
* Anything by Christian essayist/children's novelist C.S. Lewis. In Palin's words, "very very deep."
* Columns by deceased Runner's World journalist George Sheehan.
* News sources. Specifically ""all of them, any of them that have been in front of me all these years."
And not on the list…
* "Daddy's Roommate," a story of a gay couple that Palin marked for banning as a Wasilla City Council member.
* An undisclosed selection of literature from the Wasilla Public Library, whose librarian Palin approached about a book-banning campaign.
* John McCain's Iraq policy. She seems to believe he doesn't have one.

New federalists believe in state's rights. Just like "the party of Lincoln" is now home to most of our nation's segregationists.
I heard they didnt teach neither "readin, ridin or cipherin" at them thare major universities that she went to in pusuit of here 4 year degree in "journalism". Not that she might be an eletist even though her parents still earn over 250,000 per year as slum lords in Anchorage, flying around in their own plane and all, but when I was in Alaska I was told numerous times that they go to Hawaii for vacations. Now Sarah went to Hawaii for college but didnt like the fact that it rains for 15 minutes every day so while smoking a big doobie realized that her fate would take her to….Idaho. She didnt like Idaho cause of all of them taters so she had to transfer to Manatuska in Alaska. Now I dont know about you but I heard that
Manatuska is known for the "thunderfuck of herbs". Since it was basically legal there, I figure she didnt do much reading because she was smoking dope all of the time and her curriculum (journalism) really does not require that much reading. Its sort of like going to bar tending school. You have to be able to read how to mix a drink but nothing really substantial. I figure the reason she couldnt name any newspapers that she reads when asked by Katie Curic is because she does not read at all. Maybe a little bible or them thar
hymnals but I figure she gets most of her knowledge from listening to that little guy in her little mind. Sort of like george, except even more stupid.
I heard she only reads moosepapers.
Of course that would be Bush's New Federalism.
Classic Federalism: http://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h445.html
"The Federalists, as a rule, were advocates of a strong central government. They were somewhat pessimistic about human nature and believed that the government must resist the passions of the general public. One of the government's prime functions was to maintain order. The Federalists tended to place their faith in the talents of a small governing elite."
Actually, Professor Palin got that one right. Via Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federalist):
In contemporary usage, as articulated by president Bush's New Federalism, federalists advocate the principle of greater regional autonomy within the United States—usually by allowing individual states to set their own agendas and determine the handling of issues, rather than trying to impose a nationally uniform solution.
I can't believe no one picked up in the Couric interview on Roe vs. Wade that Palin said she strongly supported State's Rights on that issue and in that respect she is a Federalist.
A Federalism is the antithesis of State's Rights. A Federalist believes things should be mandated by the Federal Government you dork!
I strongly suggest that while you are reading all the magazines and newspapers that exist you take a gander at the Federalist Papers.
