Alaska Panel Finds Sarah Palin Guilty of Douchiness

POSTED BY: Dennis DiClaudio

So, remember that Troopergate business that was kind of haunting Governor Palin's first few weeks of VP-nominationhood but was ultimately mostly overtaken by her obvious ineptitude?

It's back, and this time it's looking more potent

A legislative committee investigating Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has found she unlawfully abused her authority in firing the state's public safety commissioner.

The investigative report concludes that a family grudge wasn't the sole reason for firing Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan but says it likely was a contributing factor.

This might sound bad like a bad thing for a U.S. governor/vice-presidential nominee, and it probably would be for any other.

But for Sarah Palin, it really just reinforces her reputation as a maverick. Assuming what she's mavericking from is the law.

  1. Sarah Palin is a idiot. It is scary that a person like this can even be consider to be a VP, I don't know what the F"""K Mccain was thinking when he made her VP.

  2. Troopergate investigation began before Palin was selected as McCain's running mate. If Cheney is Palin's role model we're in big trouble. The fact that McCain denounced any of Palin wrong-doing BEFORE this report came out today is so much like the Bush administration.

    DISGRACE, MISTRUST

Oh and I read the story on CNN, MSNBC, and FOX NEWS so far. FOX NEWS emphasized more how McCain's campaign had already denounced Palin in any wrong-doing, as if the official report means nothing. And we voters are to expect ACCOUNTABILITY from McCain/Palin?!? YEAH RIGHT!

  4. So then it's allright to abuse your power to intimidate and rid yourself of those who don't agree with you? All while hiring your high school Joe 6-pack buds who probably aren't qualifiled to find their butts with both hands. It's sad that people like this are given jobs that really belong to those who earnestly strive to serve the public good. And it's also pathetic that instead of actually showing what she's really made of, Sarah Palin continues to spew vile and distructive bulls#*t like Linda Blare of "The Exorcist". Let's watch closely to see if her head spins while she hurls pea soup. But what would truly be sad is if she actually became the US VP. We deserve so much more than someone who's present purpose in life is to quash the hope of a nation for a new and better direction.

  5. Not only should Palin not be elected to be the VP of the US… she should be Impeached as Gov of Alaska! Want to see the law in Alsaka? Take a look:

Curious about the law in Alaska? Take a look:

    Alaska Stat. § 39.52.110 (2008)

Sec. 39.52.110. Scope of code; prohibition of unethical conduct

    (a) The legislature reaffirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust.

    Alaska Stat. § 39.52.120 (2008)

Sec. 39.52.120. Misuse of official position

    (b) A public officer may not
    (4) take or withhold official action in order to affect a matter in which the public officer has a personal or financial interest;

Clearly, Palin has misused her official position and violated the prohibition of unethical conduct. She should be IMPEACHED!!

  6. Palin can do no wrong! Doggone it, it was just one fella, one ole joe six-pack, and it all relates to health care under the economic job umbrella of roller skates and good old American Apple Pie, terrorists pal around with state troopers who divorce my sister….Ronald Reagan.

    What was the question?

  7. The GOP is our countries representation of good old hometown ignorance and stupidity. There is nothing really worth reporting except that (yet another) Republican has overstepped their supposed power. Go figure? Mavericking takes lawlessness and quick thinking when it's time to circumvent ethics and truth. I swear! Is she just George Bush in drag?

  8. So much for mcmcain and his brain child – sarah . God forbid she gets in the white house, she will fire mccain and there goes the world, hell in a hand basket, or in this case, hell in sarah's hand.

  9. David Kernell, the 20-year-old son of Democratic Representative Mike Kernell of Tennessee, got popped. According to CNN (“Democratic lawmaker's son indicted in Palin hacking”), he reset the password and gained access to GOP VP candidate Palin's personal E-mail account. It is alleged that he read the contents, took a screenshot of her E-mail directory and obtained other personal information. The information that may have been compromised includes E-mail addresses and pictures of family members, one or more cell phone numbers of family members, family birthdates and more from Palin's address book. Interestingly, after turning himself in, David Kernell pleaded not guilty. He pleaded not guilty despite the fact that he (allegedly) took the information he hacked from Palin's personal account and posted it to a public Web site. Not only that, but he posted the new password he’d created, which would enable others to easily access Palin's E-mail themselves and view any of the contents. As a result, Kernell Junior may be subject to the heat of a five-year prison term, $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release. That’s enough to turn anybody into a fluffy white piece of popcorn. At the maximum of $1,500 per loan, that bail would require about 167 individual payday loans to free that fluffy little popped grain treat from being overcooked by cellmates.

  10. Sarah Palin is not a good candidate for Vice President. I want a VP who is articulate and smart about the economy and international problems. Sarah Palin is most often unclear and inaccurate in her responses to questions. Now we know for sure that she is also unethical. Who would want someone who touts herself as a hockey mom for the second highest office in the land. – not me. In my opinion, she is not ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. And God, Buddha, Mohammed, Jesus, Yogananda, Moses, etc. help us if she gets there.
