Election Day

We know that November 3, 2009 isn't a real Election Day. But still, we can all pretend. Right? Take a look at these six elections and let us know how much you care.

Wisconsin Welcomes John McCain with Patriotic Display of Outrage

POSTED BY: Mary Phillips-Sandy

The Dow may be plummeting, but there's one index that keeps going higher and higher: the collective blood pressure of John McCain's supporters.

As yesterday's rallies in Wisconsin proved, a lot of Republicans are angry. Very, very angry

There were shouts of "Nobama" and "Socialist" at the mention of the Democratic presidential nominee. There were boos, middle fingers turned up and thumbs turned down as a media caravan moved through the crowd Thursday for a midday town hall gathering featuring John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Did I say angry? I meant boiling over with fury.

"I'm mad! I'm really mad!" another man said, taking the microphone and refusing to surrender it easily, even when McCain tried to agree with him.

Rule number one: Never try to come between an outraged man and his microphone.

"Senator Obama has a clear radical, far-left, pro-abortion record," McCain said after being asked about the issue.

The answer prompted a shower of boos from the crowd members. They booed again when he mentioned William Ayers, who bombed U.S. facilities to protest the Vietnam War as part of the domestic terrorist group the Weather Underground. They booed again at the mention of Rep. Barney Frank, a liberal from Massachusetts.

To be fair, that last part is just a local way of honoring the Packers' victory over the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI.

But seriously, what's the next move for John McCain, he of the bipartisan nature and aisle-reaching-across record? Well, here's the ad he's launching in Wisconsin today…

That should calm everybody right down.

  1. This is unbelievable and dispicable campaiging in the video. McCain is not an honorable man. It's time for him to give up his Congressional seat and go back to one of his homes. He can directly be accused of tearing this country apart and bringing out the dark side of America. The sorry side of it all is that we have become like a foreign country that doesn't practice democratic values and reason!

  2. The McCain and Palin rallies are practically turning into mob riots just steps away from KKK rallies. Paulette is right — this guy has no honor. I would think after the 2000 primaries (where his opponents used racial smears) that McCain wouldn't touch that stuff with a 50 ft pole.

  3. You left-wing liberals crack me up.
The MSM has been SO busy covering up for The Messiah for the past 20 months- that now, when it gets down to the wire and it has become apparent how "in the tan k" they have been for Barry- They are BEGRUDGINGLY reporting on Obama's terrtorist and nafarious associations. All the WHILE contiunuing to downplay them. It's about TIME that people got pissed off- and Barry's left wing, Socialist agenda is exposed.
Bill Ayres couldn't do what he WANTS to do to this country without Obama. He's manipulating the system from the INSIDE.
    Classic Socialism.
You people are so very blind- stupid and scary.

  5. I just have to say that what few shreds of respect I had for John McCain totally dried up and blew away after that video.

I don't get how he can have such a hard time lifting his arm and walking while his political messages are as contorted and twisted as that. The guy has to be as limber as a cat to fit into that political position.

  6. Welcome to right-wing Mad Libs

Title: You left-wing liberals crack me up.

FOX NEWS has been SO busy covering VACUOUS CRAP for the past 20 months- that now, when it gets down to the wire and it has become apparent how "in the TOILET" they have been for THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX- They are STUPIDLY reporting on Obama's UNKEMPT and SMELLY associations. All the TIME continuing to REPEAT them. It's about TIME that people got DRUNK and Barry's left wing MONARCHIST agenda is exposed.
Bill Ayers couldn't do what he wants to do to this country without HANNITY. He's SLAPPING the system from the BACKDOOR.
    Classic IDIOCY.
You people are so very IMPOTENT- TOXIC and SLOPPY.

  7. No Alec, you know what is stupid and scary, the fact that three weeks ago, relatively few people in America had heard of Bill Ayers. Now all of a sudden, that the McCain campaign is up against the ropes and about the lose the election, he brings it up and only talks about that. He refuses to mention the fact that our economy is spiraling towards a depression and millions are losing their homes and jobs. Yes, Obama's association with Ayers is an issue, but it should have been brought up months ago. Where was your outrage then? It is obvious that this is the only card McCain has left to play, so you would be willing to vote for someone who has openly admitted that Barack Obama has a better plan for our country and has resorted to pathetic accusations with no proof, while millions are losing their way of life. You should take Sarah Palin's advice and stop looking to the past because it is obvious your candidate has no plan for the future. And remember, this isnt Foxnews, people come here to laugh not campaign

  8. @brock – I'm guessing you are potent, virile, non-toxic, and neat as a pin. Ladies, take note.
