Looks like McCain lost the drunken unbeliever vote. But what can you say, atheists are wrong about the existence of God, I mean if God doesn't exist don't you think the Bible would say something about it? So how can you trust atheists to be right about Obama?

>scaper
>No matter what Obama's opponent says or does, the pundits shoot >him down because it's already been decided by the people who are >selling out America that Obama must get elected. It hasn't a thing >to do with Republican or Democrat. There's an ongoing agenda of >deceit and corruption. He certainly isn't the one who will change it.
>Obama has never anything for this country. He doesn't stand for >anything. Has never accomplished anything. He's just a puppet.
>Barack, your strings are showing.

>by Nobama October 13th at 6:21PM

Nobama,
I disagree. (obviously) I do not judge either candidate by what he has done for America. I consider what they can do for America. I don't believe "experience" is paramount...especially for president. Bush had presidential experience...did that make him a better president in his second term?

To me what matters most is intelligence, personality, stance on ISSUES ...and the ability to inspire others. That is what is most important in a leader; be it in the military, the work place or government. This will be critical when dealing with foreign leaders or American citizens. Bush had a little of this at first...unfortunately then his actions/experience turned people off...all over the world.
Obama is criticized by the right for his ability to inspire people. He was mocked as a "celebrity"...bashed for his big crowds around the world. Media was ripped for covering him over the McCain Po-dunk town hall meetings with 41 people.

This ability to inspire others... young people to vote, political apathetics to talk politics, or tightwad people like me to donate to a campaign for the first time is "change we need." To denigrate this critical leadership quality is illogical. We will NEED this more than experience in today's world.

McCain completely lacks this ability. He exudes disdain for ordinary people. Unfortunately, his platform and supporting casts are (now) the same as the last administration. This and his barely concealed anger and bitterness at people for not supporting him makes him exactly the wrong person to lead the country.

Oh ya, weren't you going to tell me what makes him a maverick?

Unfortunately, the basest of Pailn's audience, as he calls it, is a large audience indeed. The republican party seemingly attracts people of half wit and dull senses. How is it such a large number of people can not see right through the rhetoric?

You don't have to read the NYT to see how American politics on both sides has diminished a persons ability to run for office in an upfront and genial manner. It's just getting uglier out there.

Christopher Hitchens always makes me so happy. Even if I disagree with his position, his snarky British brattiness makes me fall over from both amusement and brilliance.

Hitchins doesn't understand McCain. Per McCain, he now has the Obama campaign just where he wants him.
