Sarah Palin Watches Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live

POSTED BY: Michael Kraskin

Alec Baldwin must have been in liberal heaven getting to say his liberally liberalness to "that horrible woman's" face.

I'll have to take Baldwin's word for it that Palin is the hotter of the two. Then again, I don't think Larry Flynt ever made a porno about Tina Fey.

Later in the show, Sarah Palin refuses to work and let's the 9 month pregnant Amy Poehler fill in for her.

Oh, and just so there's no confusion, SNL head writer Seth Meyers was laughing at Palin, not with her.

  1. Well, I would prefered something more hilariously funny but, then again, I'm spoiled by Colbert. I guess she wasn't all that bad. Good sportsmanship in any case.

  2. This won't make me vote for her, but mad props to Palin for having enough of a sense of humor to join the SNL team for a night. Look at her boogie down to Amy Poehler's rap! Awesome!

No, she's no comedian, but I can't imagine other politicians doing much better…. or having the guts to get up there in the first place (imagine McCain doing that!).

  3. What Sarah would do is a whole lot different from what Suzy would have done ;-)

could that have to do with suzy being more qualified to be vice president than sarah??????????????????????????

  4. Rev: grammar check.

This was… not very funny, but that's SNL in recent years, right? I've been loving Tina Fey's impressions, but having the real Palin on was a dumb idea.

Also, if you're a candidate who's trying to make people take you seriously, I don't think appearing on SNL with a rapping moose is really the way to go…

  5. SNL, you never gave Saah Palin a chance to do anything .
We understand you were afraid she would show you up , as Tina Fay ran when she saw the real Sarah Palin . She knew she could never measure up in looks or brains !!
I have never watched SNL …. now I realize why … it's not worth wasting my time on .

  8. I just saw that movie "The Happening" last night for the first time. Dead giveaway that someone is infected: they start repeating their last thought over and over again.

  9. i think is bad because doesnt show a reality dont you think

  10. Okay, folks, this is old news already, but I just crawled out from under my rock & saw it for the first time.

Here's the deal kids: Palin's in the wrong line of work. She just wants to be liked, one of the cool kids. Watching her, you could see she was fulfilling her dream right there, playing herself on a sketch comedy show, live on national network TV. If only she'd known she could achieve her goals better as a TV personality than as a politician…
