Is There a Fey Effect?
Following up on Sarah Palin's ratings-grabbing SNL appearance, CNN has a report on what's being called The Fey Effect, a phenomenon whereby Tina Fey's startlingly accurate impression of Palin actually costs the GOP ticket votes…
Well, that's certainly unfair. I mean, if not for Tina Fey, America would surely see Sarah Palin as a sharp, experienced, well-spoken, non-polarizing person.
So when the Obama administration forces your kids to read The Communist Manifesto in NAMBLA class at their Madrassa, remember to blame Tina Fey.

What impact is the gay vote having on the election?
I love Tina Fey as soon as I saw Sarah Palin I knew SNL was going to be great this season if Tina came back to do the show. This last week with Sarah so funny I have to say Sarah is Hot! I don't think she is ready for the White House but give her a Talk Show I would tune in
Tina, I'm building you a spaceship. Alec Baldwin can stay here because let's face it, he's hot.
Seriously, to publically embarrass one's ex is one thing, to involve the kids, is unforgivable. Likewise, for David Hasslehoff.
Thank God for the Palin effect. Barack has promised one America. Part of that includes our mantra: "Old enough to pee, old enough for me… so long as they are hot nine year old boys."
These talking heads make me throw up a little in my mouth. "Tina Fey, when she's interviewed, seems not to like Sarah Palin."
Gee, do ya think? What part of "If she gets elected, I'm leaving earth" really leaves any room for analysis, or necessitates any inane discussion? Don't these people hate themselves for talking incessantly about nothing? I don't get how they don't blow their brains out–death by puff piece.
What!?! Fey caused the GOP to lose votes? I don't think so. Fey didn't do interview after interview clearly showing the american public just how ignorant the Gov. from alaska is. Tina didn't sit down with charlie and katie. But if you are a supporter of these Republicans and you think that Tina Fey cost them the election, blame her, and Jon Stewert, and anyone else you want. Just don't look now because its not Tina or Jon that cost votes but Sara And John.
Palin is a sign of how low the GOP will go in desperation. GOP maxim: Put party first, country second. The party, not the country, is what matters. GOP: Have you no decency, no shame? The mere thought of Palin as president, in the terrible event McCain would die in office, should send a chill down the spine of anyone who loves this country. McCain has morphed into a decrepit old curmudgeon with all the bad attributes of Bush but with an even greater misguided arrogance of his superiority. Let us not forget that McCain abandonded his wife of many years… just like Guliani. Some family values candidate.
Anyone who votes for or against a candidate based on a TV show should not be
voting in the first place. Neither should these so-called 'journalists'; This was on
CNN? Man, I've been outta the country for too long. Which I guess means not
long enough.
These anchors are joking right? Do they not understand irony or the separation between reality and fantasy? The reason the Tina Fey impression is damaging is because it plays up on Palin's already quite sizable experience, perspective, knowledge, intellectual curiosity, etc. THEY said it themselves: the impeession is "pitch perfect."
