With the Dow dropping 500 points today, unemployment reaching record levels in some areas, and the nation slouching toward an almost inevitable recession, there's just one thing on everybody's mind…
Halloween!
Yep, it's right around the corner, and it's probably your last chance to see anyone dressed up as a "sexy" anything until spring arrives next July.
With that in mind, I present to you, the four scariest words in the American language, in alphabetical order…
1. "dead"
2. "is"
3. "McCain"
4. "President"
Think that's scary? Check this out: They're exponentially more scary in reverse-alphabetical order. Write them down backwards, and you'll see what I mean.

Right there, you lost me. Folks, if you are religious and you are going to take the Bible as the Word of God and a guide in your life, then you have to be consistent. Thou Shalt Not Kill. Can it be any simpler than that? God did not put a footnote on that commandment. As I said, when I find a Pro Lifer who is ready to chuck the death penalty and stop fighting wars – and I mean no killing whatsoever – I will listen to the arguments against abortion. Until then, save your breath.
Don't worry, McCain is finally able to catch Bin Laden at the 'gate of hell' as he promised. Thanks for Palin's hunting skill, she fulfilled his wish to catch Bin Laden.
DaveW: I have to politely disagree there. The Old Testament has a lot more than just Commandments. Here's a good example:
Exodus 31:14 King James – Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
So those who follow the Bible pick and choose their faith. It's like a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book. When other people murder, you admonish them with the commandments. When you murder, it's okay because the Bible says so.
Exodus 22:17 is another good example. The famous "Thou shall not suffer a witch to live."

Jesus was killed for Crimes Against the State. So those Christians who are pro-death should be lauding the accomplishments of the Romans in their execution of a criminal.
A Christian might have a case for the fact that the Old Testament means nothing after the covenants were broken with Christ. But those same nutjobs bitch and moan when people who support the American way decide to disallow the posting of the Ten Commandments at state buildings.

Jesus was executed on a bum rap. Jesus forgave Himself of His is sins when Jesus accepted Himself as His own personal savior and turned His life over to Himself when Jesus was baptized. This means Jesus was already forgiven for His rebellion against secular authority. Pilate just refused to look at the mater logically.
Dear bearness, it is a biological reality that when ovum and spermatozoa join that a new and unique individual has been created, this is not religious, conception/fertilization are real milestone markers and growing through all our embryonic sizes until we can withstand living on our own, all the way to old age are real undeniable truths: the difference from not being into being! this is bare scientific reality, so why are you bringing religion into the picture to cause arguements? In Old Testament of Holy Bible it is written that God says to us, "I knew you before you were born. I knew you when you were being knitted together in the darkness of the womb." now that is religious and if you do not want to believe those wonderful words then it is your loss

Dear Dave W, Even God says put to death people who kill others BUT He gives us a commandment of Do Not Kill because it is right and true and if we would follow this simple directive then there would be no killing and obviously then there would be no one to put to the Death Penalty to because no one is killing in the first place…it truly is a simple little circle to understand, a person does not have to go to Brown University or be a Rhodes Scholar to understand this reality……mankind is growing in maturity, growing in commitment to wanting to be mature, enjoying it, loving it
