Why Is Joe Lieberman Now Praising Barack Obama?
If there's one thing Joe Lieberman has mastered in his storied Washington career, it's how to get attention. At the beginning of this year, that meant abandoning his party to endorse John McCain.
Now, a week before the election, it means traipsing back over to praise Barack Obama…
And making sure the media is listening when he does it…
"When I go out, I say, 'I have a lot of respect for Sen. Obama. He's bright. He's eloquent.' Someday, I might even support him for president," Lieberman told a conference call of Connecticut reporters. "But now in the midst of this series of crises, John McCain is simply so much better prepared that that's who I am proud to support."
So what's this all about? Given that the election is just eight days away, a lot of things could be motivating Lieberman's decision. Among them…
* He's trying to save his current job: Sycophantic conference calls with Connecticut reporters is the most important quality in a Chairman of the Homeland Security committee. Harry Reid will have to think twice before stripping this away from Lieberman.
* He's trying to suck up to Obama: The majority of pundits now expect McCain's campaign will end in a loss. (Or, as Lieberman calls it, "a three-way split decision for third.") Should Obama prevail instead, he, too, could punish Joe with a prank cabinet position like Agriculture Secretary.
* He's using reverse psychology: There are few people that today's liberals would rather disobey than Joe Lieberman. Therefore, his speaking well of Obama might persuade lifelong Democrats to vote Republican instead… or at the very least, accept a primetime speaking role at the next Republican convention.

Lieberman: ass kisser for hire.
Lieberman: has his eye on the main crack.

Obama = Sarah Palin as Presidential Nominee… You can't dig Sarah Palin as one step away from the White House without slamming your inexperienced sweet-talker actually being IN the White House…
Is anyone conserned that Nancy Pelosi, as Speaker of the House, is actually 2nd in line to become President?
"Is anyone conserned that Nancy Pelosi, as Speaker of the House, is actually 2nd in line to become President?"
Nope.
The odds on the Speaker of the House ascending to the presidency are long odds indeed. (Hasn't happened once in the history of the U.S.), whereas the odds of Palin ascending based on McCain's age/health are much more feasable.
Hey Bob, If I want to be scared, I just look at my 401K statement.
FVCK Lieberman !
What a jerk0ff…
Why is this guy even in office?
Oh, I remember it's because he's jewish and has made statements about how his orthodox version religion dictates his political life rather than US law. Part of that is obedience to the dogma that jews are the "chosen people – above all others" by their god and that all other people are just "cattle". That and his "by all means" support for Israel and you've got just about every religiously bound jewish person voting for this anti american scumbag.
I'm not against people that are born jewish by any means
I'm against the role of religion in our political system nowdays
We would all be MUCH BETTER OFF without all this religious BS forcing bronze age myths and codes of law upon a nation that was founded upon the notion of freedom from any state sponsored religion… or it's endorsement by our representatives.
Lieberman is, well, let's just say that he's not a good person.
joe Lieberman is just another piece of toxic human excrement which must be flushed away from the body politic.
