John McCain Dallies with the Hated French

POSTED BY: Ethan Ris

In his continuing quest to lose every vote in America, John McCain is now treading on thin ice with conservatives by associating himself with an admitted Frenchman, Nicolas Sarkozy.

Sarkozy, the French President and a world-class dandy, was described by an anonymous source in an Israeli newspaper as calling Barack Obama's Iran policy "immature." Apparently, Sarkozy took issue with Obama's plans to engage the Iranians through diplomacy, instead of haughty sniffing.

McCain jumped on the Frenchman's bandwagon after the comment surfaced, taking the opportunity re-run a classic attack ad:

Capitalizing on a report in the Israeli press today suggesting that French President Nicholas Sarkozy thinks Barack Obama's stance on Iran is "utterly immature," John McCain is re-releasing an ad that highlights comments the Democrat made in May — calling the country "tiny" (compared to the former Soviet Union) — to argue that he is "dangerously unprepared" for the presidency.

For the cash-strapped McCain camp, the re-release of this ad is a cost-effective means of political recycling; jumping on the news peg of Sarkozy's comments (per an anonymous Israeli government source), the campaign can convey a strong message without producing a new ad.

Wow! McCain is really alienating conservatives now… Not only is he lining up with the frogs, he's recycling!

  1. Kozy with Sarkozy? there's a certain ring to that. Maybe he can get Carla Bruni, Sarkozy's gorgeous wife to stand by him, except she'd make him look awfully small. But wait! He is small, in many more ways than height.

  2. Um, actually I don't know where you get your facts from but the USSR (back in the day mind you) did make nukes way before Reagan. All Presidents, Prime Ministers and diplomats on both sides throughout the years were in constant dialogue with each other about the matter. Ever since 1949 when they had their first atomic testing. All Reagan ever did was bankrupt America in a way that would make the Soviets even more bankrupt (arms race, nuclear race, space race, and yes… even the international peace race). Try looking at the research the Reagonites did in concocting "Star Wars" the government project… not the movie…, then watch either "Dr. Strangelove: Or how I stopped worrying and started to love the bomb" and then watch "Seven Days in May".

  3. Iran is “tiny”, this OUTRAGOUS!!! We are not talking about some group of second-rate losers like the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, the Japanese Empire, the British Empire or the Southern Confederacy of America we are talking Muslim extremist possibly getting a nuclear weapon in the next 200 years! This is an extraordinary threat from a powerful, well organized and well equipped enemy this country as never faced before. The only way to ENSURE PEACE is to NUKE IRAN OFF THE MAP NOW!!!!

Did Regan talk to the Soviet Union? NO!

Did we say Obama is a socialist?

  5. John McCain stumps about Barack Obama's ties to "that old worn out terrorist" William Ayers, but now it has been revealed that he has his own ties.

In August 2008, McCain bought Ayers latest book on a personal credit card Cindy gave him to use:

    Explosion of Wealth
    the New American Robber Barons
    -by William Ayers

McCain responded, "I got the book for a liberal friend who lost their job and home – who I believe was interested in how to bomb rich people." "Why a book by Ayers," he was asked. "Poor black people have a distinguished history of robbing and blasting government so I wanted a book written by a neg…black with experience."

When told Ayers was a white man and a university professor, McCain smiled and replied, "under my tax proposals, Bill the Teacher could one day buy a small University, open more classrooms and expand opportunity."
