Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert to Join Forces for Live Election Night Special

POSTED BY: Eric March

Comedy Central is trying to keep it hushed, so thank God you came to Indecision 2008 today.

The low budget, art-house special will reunite the giants of fake news at The Daily Show studio and will be broadcast to a limited audience including anyone who has cable or is standing in view of MTV's 44 1/2 foot JumboTron in the heart of Times Square at 10p EST on Election Night.

  1. Damn! The ONE thing I was looking forward to watching all night and CC screwed it up for all of us. Way to unite us as a nation CC!

  2. It is 10:45pm on the West coast, and I am so sad that I am watching Futurama instead of live Stewart and Colbert! This sucks!!! Get it together comedy central!

  3. Ah, like the California viewer this Washington State family relied on the TV Guide Channel, AOL TV listings and a host of other info that had us watching….Futurama. Everything said Indecision 2008 was on at 10 pm but apparently it was on at 7pm. Nice going. Damn!

  4. Ditto to the last comment. Why did my DVR tape Scrubs not Live coverage of Stewart/Colbert?

  5. Yeah, c'mon… Where's our promised Election Night coverage???

  6. 1st of all: thanks to all not-real-americans – who would have thought so many of you actually managed to survive the last 8 years without leaving the country and getting rid of your voting priviledges !!
and yay he won: dude ! might wanna look about 5 cm (that's somethingrather inches for you) above your post. see the video thingy ? not trying to be too clever here, but as far as we old europeans have understood, EST is for the people on the east coast and PST for the other side of your continent. and – again without trying to brag with my geography – california was on the west coast the last time i checked. but what the hell do i know…

  7. I am sure that Comedy Central is, at some level, is mourning the end of the Bush administration and the increased challenges you will find and being really funny without Bush or even Palin spoon feeding you with material. I offer you this: it appears that California has voted to improve living conditions for farm animals, and also amend the constitution to permit descrimination against gays and lesbians. Along with most of what Bush & Palin have offered, if it weren't so sad it would be really, really funny.

  8. fuck u comedy central. why are u playing old eps of south park when u promised indecision 08. get your shit together

by murilpuece November 5th at 2:04AM
  9. Yeah, same here. They lost all their Los Angeles and San Francisco viewers. Even right now at 11:02 pm election night, I am watching South Park and yet the directory from Time Warner who gets their info from Comedy Central says that it is, RIGHT NOW THIS MINUTE the "Stewart and Colbert Coverage." Since I Am not interested in South Park at the moment (or ever really), I will change channels to CNN or local stations to watch Prop 8, etc.

Another mess up for Comedy Central !!! Great job NOT!!!!

  10. This sucks. No Stewart or Colbert? I am sorely dissapointed. I wonder if they screwed the presentation on the Jumbotron at Times Square too. Stupid Comedy Central – get it together! Maybe with enough complaints Comedy Central and Comcast will finally get it that simple accurate scheduling is important to viewers. It is not rocket science.
