Despite Campaign of Hope, America Still Too Sexist to Change

Bow your heads, America. Despite a spirited campaign that left shattered glass and dead moose everywhere it went, reality has set in: America is still too sexist for a female vice-president.
If not now, when America?? How dare you vote for Barack Obama just because Sarah Palin is a woman? She wasn't even convicted in that Troopergate thing for crying out loud!
Looks like we're going to have to wait until 2012 for women to get a fair share in this country. Michelle Malkin, Phyllis Schlafly, we're looking at you.

Is this a funny blog? Seriously? OK – I'll take it you are really serious. If Barak Obama was not such an amazing candidate, we would almost certainly be talking about President Clinton II tonight. If McCain had chosen one of the more impressive and capable female governors with more moderate views, he might have won and almost certainly would have had a better showing.
Yes, it is a higher ladder to climb for women than men (for black men it's even higher), but there are some who are clearly capable and could be accepted.
are you saying that america is sexist because it elected an idiot-man president (bush) but won't elect an idiot-woman vice president (palin)?
perhaps it's simply that after electing one idiot to office america got smart this time.
The better candidate won. One of the reasons McCain lost was because his running mate was not very intelligent not because she was female. Sex or race should not play a factor. I am a young woman who would love to see a woman in the white house but that woman needs to be there because she is the better choice not because she is female. What Obama has acheived tonight is monumental. When a woman is in the oval office I will be happy but tonight I am proud of the American people for making the correct choice.
I would love to see a woman in the white house, but I want an intelligent, qualified woman. If a male candidate is better for the job, then give it to the man. When we vote for a candidate just because of his/her sex, color, or ethnicity we just cheapen the office of P or VP, and show our own ignorance. The better man won tonight. I won't support him blindly, but I will support him. When the better candidate is a woman, I'll proudly cast my vote and hope to see the first female president. However, until that time comes (and I hope it's soon), don't throw any old vagina out there and expect me to be ignorant enough to vote for it.
There's nothing like painfully earnest reader comments on a comedy blog. Did you read the text? Satire people, satire…
it's simple, feminists are not voting for a set of genitals, they are voting for a whole person, it's better if the person is qualified, not just a RNC barbie doll. if you are looking for a republican woman to vote for get Condie Rice to run.
Oh shut up. She deserves much more credit than most were willing to give her.
YAY! Bye, Sarah Palin! YAY! BuhBye!!!
Sic transit gloria mundi. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Sarah dear.
Maybe if she had a bigger rack?
Oh who am I kidding? Even that wouldn't have been enough for me to vote for her.
