If a male candidate is better for the job, then give it to the man. When we vote for a candidate just because of his/her sex, color, or ethnicity we just cheapen the office of P or VP, and show our own ignorance. The better man won tonight. I won't support him blindly, but I will support him. When the better candidate is a woman, I'll proudly cast my vote and hope to see the first female president. However, until that time comes (and I hope it's soon), don't throw any old vagina out there and expect me to be ignorant enough to vote for it. If McCain had chosen one of the more impressive and capable female governors with more moderate views, he might have won and almost certainly would have had a better showing.
