The Colbert Report: The World Reacts to Obama's Victory
Kenya declares a national holiday, Nicolas Sarkozy writes a complimentary letter, and Peru holds a sacred llama fetus ceremony.
What's your take on the international community's excitement over our new president?
PERMALINK:

Funny how quickly Mr. Obama has recovered from his bereavement period, kidding about his puppy choice during his first press meeting.
Finally…
… white rappers will get some respect!
Kaitlyn, you are confused.

Juergen, from your name I can only assume that you are one of my countrymen, so let me say this in clearest German:
Du bist krank!
Yeah, really weird that Obama is so happy at the moment where he has realised all his ambitions and achieved something that would have made his late grandmother so unbelievably proud…
What a sick mind you have.
It's wonderful for America again being apart of the world. I've always hoped for someone smarter than me to lead the country.
Lieber Henning,
Let me say this in my clearest German,
selber krankes Deutsches A…loch!
Henning,
I apologize, and have reported my comment already.
Malaysia apparently is pretty excited about Obama too. No idea why, but it's good to be an American again, apparently.
obama took the high road in his campaign it paid off! he will continue to take the high road during his presidency. unlike the low road bush took we are all all stuck in the mud right now. Its a little relief to know that the world doesnt hate us that much anymore.
Uhm… Kaytlin… I'd guess, Stephen is as much for Prop. 8 as he was for McCain…
Don't wanna spoil anything for anybody, but it's a persona, you're really not aware of this?
..and guys… wie wär's wenn wir uns nicht alle gegenseitig blamieren hier, ok? Wenn ihr euch käbbeln wollt, tauscht eure Emails aus und lasst rocken, hier aber so abzugehen is a bissl peinlich
